25.01.2022 Engenuity Solutions would like to welcome Ruby Heard to the team as our new Senior Electrical Engineer. #meettheteam Ruby holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Electrical and Electronic Engineering and am Clean Energy Council (CEC) accredited for grid connected solar and battery storage design. A newcomer here at Engenuity Solutions, Ruby commenced work only two months ago, so is enjoying the ‘honeymoon phase’ of getting her boots on the ground, meeting the rest of the te...am and learning everything there is to know about our clients and the latest projects. Ruby’s role as Senior Electrical Engineer involves the design of renewable energy systems, estimating and analysing demand, plus overseeing the production of drawing packages and trying not to forget to bring a cake into the office on my birthday (which is apparently a requirement of my contract). Her main project right now is designing on-site energy generation for embedded energy networks for Retirement Living residences at a number of locations across the east coast of Australia. These projects involve sizing solar and battery storage to reduce energy costs to residents. Ruby claims she has no specific talents, but once climbed a three-storey building to rescue a friend. She has also run the Melbourne Marathon (10km distance) carrying buckets of water, not once but twice! Ruby has also lived in many interestingly different places, most notable of these are a refugee camp in Ethiopia, a treehouse in Hawaii and the lovely shady suburb of West Oakland, California. #engenuitysolutions #engenuitytechnologies #engineers #goldcoast

25.01.2022 Meet the team! We’re happy to introduce Alex Cachia, one of our electrical engineers. The majority of Alex’s role consists of designing electrical and instrumentation systems. One of his recent projects included designing the lightning protection systems for the switchrooms on a large solar PV job (5MW total size). Alex says Engenuity is the perfect place to work because it is like having a bonus family. Everyone gets along well in the office, but at the same time the team i...s extremely productive. With a background in industrial design and project management, Debora has been with Engenuity Solutions for over 3 years. #MeetTheTeam An average day sees Debora working across her fields of expertise, from preparing designs for electrical installations and circuitry, to implementing records management processes, policies and procedures as well as training the team in utilising them. As the Informa...tion Management Systems representative, Debora is currently working on the company IMS implementation and enhancing the company’s safety and quality systems, getting Engenuity Solutions ready for ISO9001 certification. Originally from Brazil, she is of course fluent in Portuguese, and also speaks Spanish as part of the love she shares for her Latin heritage of music and culture. Debora likes to stay fit and healthy, especially through Pilates and she loves going on surf trips with her friends. A hidden talent which few of her colleagues are aware of is a passion for Photography, she has enjoyed since she was a teenager. Liza has been here since the beginning as she is a part of the family business. He has over 30 years engineering experience in engineering processing plants, equipment design, manufacturing, project management and business development. His role is to develop a long-term vision for the business, make sure the safety, quality and environmental compliance is maintained and help the team to grow and develop through a structured approach. ... Lawson is an interesting man who takes many paths. He has lived in South-Africa for four years, made a large sculpture for the Swell Art Festival and recently started learning opera singing. Not to mention, he experienced significant vision loss midway through his degree finishing the last two years with just colours, shapes and extremely large text. Clearly someone who likes a challenge.

The project required the development of an innovative wave machine as a Full Scale Prototype, located in Yeppoon, Queensland.
