25.01.2022 Recently I was fortunate to source a large slab of Juniper, an exquisite cabinet timber, but extremely rare to find in large sizes due to the nature of how the tree grows. This is the first of a series of 3 "Turtle Tables" I will be carving. As with all of my work, each piece is unique, and hand carved from solid timber. Clear finished natural timber, no stains or colouring used, in satin polyurethane. This Geen Turtle loungeside table is approx 500mm x 370mm and 370mm high with 6mm thick glass insert. "The Green Turtle" is priced at $400.
10.01.2022 All of the timber used in my carvings or furniture is sustainably sourced. The majority coming from local arborists who have removed trees from peoples backyards etc. Currently I am carving a series of mermaids from what I believe to be Huon Pine. Again, as with all of my work, each piece is unique. "The Mermaids" series are carved from timber salvaged from the keys of a piano that was destined for the rubbish tip as it was no longer capable of being tuned. These 4 have already been sold, however I still have approximately 30 or so keys and will be carving more as time permits, or can bespoke carve at your request. Why buy plastic rubbish when you can have high quality timber, uniquely handcrafted mermaids as a Xmas gift for that special youngster in your life. 06.01.2022 The second of the 3 "Turtle Tables", I am calling this one "The Hatchlings". All 3 are unique, and hand carved from a solid piece of Juniper, with Tasmanian Oak legs. No stain or colourings used, clear coated natural timber in satin polyurethane. Approx size 500mm x 370mm and 370mm high. The perfect size for a lounge or armchair side table. "The hatchlings" is priced at $450.
