25.01.2022 Everyone should be having a look at the texts that their school, government and curriculum authorities have selected for them. What does it teach our young people about life? What sort of passive ideologies, or messages, might they have lurking beneath those masterful sentences and celebrated author? Texts should reflect the diverse, wonderful and imaginative students that we have in our classroom, not some dead old white men's vision of what society and literature should be!

12.01.2022 Its awesome to see how some companies are rising to the occasion and helping out our VCE students who are very much in need of some extra support with their learning in these critical years of their schooling, especially during this COVID-19 crisis. Please share to anyone you know that is currently undertaking their VCE, I myself have used the TSFX resources and they are excellent! Also, if the lectures and course notes from TSFX need a bit more explaining and time to go through you are more than welcome to contact me for some tutoring, first session is FREE

04.01.2022 To all those teachers out there that are feeling stuck with getting through the curriculum, assessments and all the usual stuff during remote learning, take a moment to remember that your students are people too and they deserve to be known, and appreciated for the amazing, smart and expressive individuals that they are. Take a moment to make learning fun and social again. You won’t regret it.

02.01.2022 What has education come to? This COVID-19 pandemic has effected every single part of our lives and seems to have taken the fundamental right to attend school and connect with our fellow classmates and our students. This video made me really sad as a educator to see, to know the struggle of packing up your amazing, colorful classroom into bare stripped walls and no physical interaction whatsoever. Nonetheless, let your students know that you care about them, understand what they are going through and that you are always there to listen. It’s so important for their mental health, overall wellbeing and resilience in the face of this global crisis.
