25.01.2022 Our student P in year 10 was invited to attend STEM Engagement Careers Day organised by BHP Billiton. In recognising the importance of STEM education and to encourage outstanding students to continue excelling in their related study units, BHP flew these students to their mine site at in Newman to experience the technologies they used for mineral exploration and production. According to P, it was one of the proudest and memorable day that she has had in her academic years.

With this ATAR score, she doesn't need to take a bridging course. She will be qualified to go straight into her preferred Commerce course at Curtin university. Well done T. 24.01.2022 In July 2020, Anna came to us for tutoring. At that time, her ability to spell, read or write were limited. She required a great deal of help in Maths as well. Since then, Anna has made outstanding progress. Now that she can read some simple sentences, home reading is no longer a chore for her mum. Last month, Anna received the highest Principal’s Award for her improvement and confidence. That is why we love our job. It brings so much satisfactions and joy to us.

15.01.2022 J is now not required to take alternative pathways because his English had improved so much after a few months of intensive tutoring with us. He was astounded with his ATAR score and he shared the news as soon as he received the results on Wednesday night. Well done You deserved this after all your hard work.

13.01.2022 Are you happy with the semester one result? Some of our students received fantastic results. R (year 5) and K (year 3), in particular, have recently received a school invitation to attend the annual Australian Mathematics Competition. Last year, this national competition results placed R in the top 9% amongst the best students in the nation.

10.01.2022 Successful and unsuccessful people do not vary greatly in their abilities. A has worked hard, from being an EAL/D student (English as an Additional Language and/or Dialect) who required extra school support at that time to achieving an A recently.

09.01.2022 Due to this COVID-19 pandemic crisis, we have been adapting our tutoring business by using computer technologies with shared computer screens and white boards to deliver lessons to our students via livestream. All our online students find that it is just as beneficial as having face to face lessons. After a few weeks of conducting our online tutoring lessons, we view this delivery method as an integral part of the business. All student’s lessons are conducted via real time, face to face lessons using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Hangouts and Skype. We are now ready to take on more students, assisting them back into a learning momentum and getting ready for the start of term 2.

08.01.2022 We have had so much fun tutoring these kids. The highlight was the water gun reward. It was An’s suggestions if she could have a water gun if she achieved at least 80% on her exam. She fulfilled her objective and as a result she received the water gun at the award day and whatever happened next... . An you deserved it.

08.01.2022 Research shows that at least 58% of the existing jobs could be completely changed because of technologies and automation, however, more than 1/3 of students at age 15 are not equipped to cope with future changes i.e. do not have STEM Skills. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. It develops fundamental skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, teamwork, independent thinking, initiative, communication and digital literacy. Ha...ve our children been spending too much time on electronic devices or our lifestyles have changed so much that our children are not given a chance to develop these essential skills? And what have we done to help our children and to alleviate the consequences?
