13.01.2022 Dear Customers and Lifestyles Attendants, We would like to provide you with an update regarding the recent announcement about disability support work and personal protective equipment (PPE) SA Health has implemented the following protocols effective as of yesterday, 1 December. ... Mandatory face masks: Masks must be worn in defined health care, residential care, disability support or aged care services. All people must wear a single-use surgical mask which covers the nose & mouth. This includes care providers, patients, clients, residents, admin & other staff. In addition, visitors, students, contractors & any other person when they are in the presence of other people. Please note that a person is exempt where; the mask will hinder the care, which is being provided, or there is a medical condition. Also, communication with a person who is deaf or hard of hearing is required, the person is under 12, and the person is a live-in staff member or a resident of a residential care facility. Personal care activities: Lifestyle Attendants providing personal care services must wear the correct PPE at all times including a mask and gloves. This is to ensure the health and wellbeing of the Customers. A message to all Lifestyle Attendants: Due to these new protocols put in place, it is important that you must always wear a mask when on shift with Customers. We are closely monitoring announcements made by SA Health about wearing PPE when providing services, in the meantime, please ensure you wear a mask when with a Customer. Customers and Lifestyles Attendants, if you do not have a mask and other essential PPE items, please read below about how to acquire these from Enhanced Lifestyles. Acquiring PPE: Please note that we are currently out of hand sanitiser and are awaiting delivery to replenish our stock levels. Lifestyle Attendants, if you require hand sanitiser, please bring your empty 60ml bottle to head office and we will refill it for you. We will provide the following collection and delivery options for you to choose from: Collection by a Lifestyle Attendant/individual A Lifestyle Attendant can collect masks and gloves from the office by arranging an appointment in advance. The designated person collecting the gloves/sanitiser is required to sign the sign-off sheet before leaving the premises for tracking purposes. Express Post Masks and gloves can be sent via Express Post to your address. Home Delivery Masks and gloves can be delivered to your address via courier by prior arrangement. Please contact the office on (08) 8340 2000 or via [email protected] and advise the collection/delivery method you wish to choose. We appreciate all Lifestyle Attendants complying with this latest announcement.
