02.01.2022 Sunglasses are more important that just looking slick...although perhaps a better shave might have helped this guy out more! Anywho, turns out ultra-violet light can damage your eyes so ensuring your glasses have UV protection is really important. UV can cause cataracts, where clouding of the lens of the eye occurs. It may be a simple surgery to fix it, but prevention is always better than cure.... There is also some evidence that UV can contribute to macular degenerations, where your central vision is affected. This can make reading, seeing people's faces and driving difficult. While there are some measures to manage it, such as medication, there is currently no cure. So next time you're looking for sunnies, make sure they have UV protection and keep the cheapies from the $2 shop strictly for fashion on a night out under the bright lights...like this guy! p.s.
