23.01.2022 Just a bit of a giggle
13.01.2022 #ThursdayThoughts: I love listening to coaches, to challenge and learn different perspectives or approaches to life. So I thought I will start sharing a podcast that I loved listening to! Enjoy Podcast by Jim Fortin, "Episode 114. Self Worth, Self Esteem, Self Acceptance"... https://podcasts.apple.com//the-jim-fortin-p/id1455174630 See more
11.01.2022 Pretty exciting Thought I would share a shot from the future street of where we will be moving next! (#2021) I would like to thank everyone for their time and patience! This year has certainly taken us on quite a few turns and road blocks... such as: moving locations, covid-19 lockdowns and awaiting on my little block of land to create our new home and clinic!... Hope you are all well
08.01.2022 The nights are certainly getting cooler Rug up and Remember to have a heat pack/hot water bottle handy to avoid tensing up against the night air while you sleep! Please follow safety instructions.... Tip: if using a hot water bottle - either reuse the water/use the water for your plants when it’s cooled down. #selfcare #selfcaretips #coldmornings #muscletension #enhancewellbeing
05.01.2022 The message is pretty universal on social media at the moment, so I want to extend this by offering what we can do next. Everyone has a different view on how things should be or could be done - and yet still be on the same side? We are at a moment, in a place where there can be a big change, and with this there will be a lot more disagreements to come. While we all walk these volatile times - please remember to be kind. I do sincerely hope this brings forward a change to stop racism.
05.01.2022 We all from time to time can procrastinate on something. Feel the need to procrastinate today? This week’s podcast is 30mins just on that . I generally get to listen to these podcasts in the car after I dropped the kids off at daycare , but today I think is a great day to procrastinate on productivity! https://podcasts.apple.com//p/ted-talks-daily/id160904630 ... #ThursdayThoughts Winter is here, and I generally have a romanticised picture of snuggling into warm fluffy bed sheets, a hot cup of tea/coffee and enjoying a book/journaling away as I gaze out of a window lost in thought. The reality is, we all generally have work or responsibilities to attend too. And thus my dreams are dashed and thus I procrastinate more in winter, cold mornings or on rainy days.
03.01.2022 It’s not often I talk up about being a herbalist - but in the spectrum of healthcare, we do have our place to work beside professionals. A herbalist spends a lot of time studying the effects of different herbs and how to accurately prescribe them. Armaforce is a practitioner only product, and Andrographis should not be considered a common supplement - it’s not a herb that should be taken without thought or for everyday use. Regardless this product can still be sold at plac...es like chemist warehouse, without consultation (hence the recent spike in reported interactions) and it is over used/prescribed. The training generally offered to non-herbalists is a sales pitch from the manufacturer and a very basic understanding of its safety. Just because it’s sold as a tea/herb/recommended by a friend or someone on Facebook does not mean it is the right formula for you. Please caution taking herbal supplements from a pharmacist/chemist/online store such as iherb (they don’t have the same non-bias training as a herbalist - and the incentive is to sell these products for money.) You see a doctor when you’re sick, you see a pharmacist for drugs/medication and medication safety, you then see a specialist for specific issues (as the doctor and pharmacist can’t do it all) - we all have our place, and it only makes sense, you should see a naturopath/herbalist if you are considering/consulting a professional about Herbs. https://www.smh.com.au//side-effect-of-common-health-suppl
