25.01.2022 Last week Brett from MRP Smash Repairs came in with his pride and joy 2013 Toyota Landcruiser 76 V8 for a remap. 24.01.2022 Are you wondering why your vehicle isn't going as well as you would like, maybe it needs its EGR cleaned. Below are photos of a Toyota Hilux Dual Cab 160,000km blocked EGR before and after it was cleaned out. If you were to have your vehicle remapped your EGR can be turned off in the process and you would never have this problem again. 22.01.2022 In today we had a 200 series land cruiser for a new exhaust system after previously being remapped. With one of our remap and exhaust packages your diesel engine will have more power throughout the rev range, lower EGTs, and lower levels of carbon build up within your engine resulting in a healthier engine long term, all along with the added bonus of greater fuel economy! 20.01.2022 One of last weeks remaps was a Toyota 200 series Land Cruiser, whilst being one of the cleaner manifolds I have seen through the workshop, a picture says a thousand words. These are the effects of an EGR on a modern diesel vehicle. This 200 series now produces close to 50kw more power than it originally did, and a gain in torque of nearly 100nm. Some chips/remaps will claim greater gains, but it comes down to drivability and long term reliability whilst still receiving safe p...ower gains and reduced fuel consumption out of your vehicle. The EGR blocking problem seen in the picture is a thing of the past after a remap as we have the equipment to turn the EGR off completely, without producing any fault codes or any harm to your vehicles engine. 13.01.2022 One of the jobs we had in this week was a PX1 Ranger receiving a new head. In this instance the Ranger came in with issues of the cooling system over pressurizing and overheating issues, something that we are starting to see these rangers do frequently now. After carrying out a few quick tests it became evident what was going on and off the head came and sure enough the old head had signs of coolant seepage around the coolant galleries surrounding the 5th cylinder. 09.01.2022 So what is a remap? A remap is where we change your engine computer system to optimise the operational strategies of the engine. We change the injection timing, injection duration, turbo boost, throttle control and emission control which ultimately controls torque and power output of your vehicle. When modifying the emission system of your vehicle we alter the EGR and DPF settings which in turn prevents intake manifold (EGR) blockage and exhaust filter (DPF) blockage.... 09.01.2022 Graeme Henderson had his Toyota Hilux Duel Cab in last week to have its EGR cleaned out and vehicle remapped, he picked his vehicle up on Friday and loaded up his 1.7 tonne tandem trailer and headed off to Wollongong. He rang us on Monday to tell us he is absolutely rapped, as with the vehicle loaded up it will now hold cruise control while going up hills where previously it would have dropped out

02.01.2022 Wow of Friday we had 2 mates drive 4 hours, all the way from Condobolin to get a Landcruiser 79 remapped. Before they left they drove around the block, came back with smiles on their faces and said "That's awesome!". Further feed back today, they just gave us a call to tell us "Better on fuel and has a heap more snort". Love hearing the feed back.
