24.01.2022 Attempt at staging Clearly in need of some better props and backgrounds. But I shouldn’t blame the tools, I’m just too lazy. What I need is a nice floor / wall with good natural lightning. Is that too much to ask for? Oh and a plant nursery. ... If anyone has any recommendations pls dm me Commissioned to make a 3 pcs breakfast set. 17.01.2022 Overcast days can sometimes be a bit of a downer but I look forward to them as it’s perfect for taking photos where you want soft diffused natural light. I often wonder what the world would be like if we didn’t have the ability to see so much colour and subtleties, like some animals and insects. Our sight is such a gift, and I’m low key freaking out that mine is slowly deteriorating. (Though I do like the idea of wearing glasses ) Digital photography has been both a blessin...g and a curse. Now we can capture memories, ideas, inspiration, moods effortlessly, however, now we have the problem of needing more storage and time to go through and edit the ones we have taken (More than 13k and counting ) I’m sure I’m not the only one with so many right? Pictured is my bedroom window. I sometimes just sit and look at the play of light. Love the architectural lines My only complaint is it faces NW so I mainly get harsh afternoon light. 10.01.2022 Tsubame teapot Swallow teapot Life lessons learnt from pottery -... #patience #focus #learning to let go Sometimes that last one is soooo hard to do. I was so excited to work with black clay, made a whole lot of pieces I was really happy with, and then it all turned to s*#$t (almost literally ) The glaze was supposed to be matt clear to keep the natural look of the clay.... and of course it turned out not as expected (see second last pic) I still makes me a little sad when I look back on what they could’ve been (pre glaze), but it’s getting less and less.
