17.01.2022 This is ridiculous and a waste. More then Half of our colleagues will not be able to attend for starters due to working this massive night to cover the demand on the system. Second we deserve the 2.5% pay increase we have earned and fought to get. Not to be denied and told sorry we can’t afford to give it to you but we can afford to put on this event with priority to you. It’s such a slap in the face for what we stand for.

16.01.2022 Stay Tuned as we announce our winners for the 2020 Enrolled Nurse Excellence Award

16.01.2022 Why is it the Berejiklian Government can continue to pay the annual expenses of ex-Premiers, BUT they can not afford to give nurses and midwives a modest 2.5% wage increase. That is most ridiculous

06.01.2022 Ongoing staffing shortages, coupled by mismanagement from the NSW Government, is resulting in blowouts to surgical and emergency wait times in Western Sydney. These results are simply unacceptable for our patients and communities! Via 7NEWS Sydney

06.01.2022 The NSW Government intends to ram through legislation for a WAGE FREEZE for nurses and midwives, possibly as early as tomorrow. Its a horrible reflection of what our Government really thinks of nurses and midwives, particularly through this pandemic and YNM2020! Us nurses and midwives that are working hard throughout this pandemic wheather we are on the front lines of Emergency departments or managing our patients in crucial outpatient departments, have earned the right to b...e given an increased wage. 02.01.2022 Great news! Because of COVID-19, the NMBA has indicated they they will not be taking action against practitioners who do not fulfil their CPD requirements for the 2019-2020 registration year.

02.01.2022 This is not right. Especially that these nurses are just doing their jobs. Most nurses looking after the patients meeting the criteria for the screening of COVID-19 patients are changing their uniforms from scrubs to theatre scrubs or changing before leaving work not to spread this virus. This is not acceptable from the community we are working so hard to protect that we are also apart of. ... Please be kind to all nurses and midwives as this is also stressful time for us. Please remember that this is also the international year of the nurse and midwife where we are meant to be support, recognising the hard work and celebrating ur achievements over the last decade +.

01.01.2022 The National Asthma Council is recommending that people with asthma receive their flu shot early this year, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
