25.01.2022 Breaking ground. This new space will ensure @StOliverPlunkettPrimarySchool remains at the forefront of learning activities now and into the future. Construction is about to start on the three-story purpose-built Administration, Staff and learning spaces building. The ground floor purpose-built learning space will be dedicated to learning opportunities for STEM, robotics and a green room for multimedia filming and production. The multi-purpose area opens out to the covered q...uadrangle to increase inside / outside learning opportunities. The first and second floors will be dedicated to administration and staff professional spaces to provide a welcoming and inclusive space to support wellbeing, a retreat for staff members to recharge, catch up, wind down, relax and enjoy. Collaborative working spaces, formal and casual meetings (both seated, and on the move) and small group chat spaces have all been considered in the design. The buildings are designed to welcome family, Parish and community groups, support inclusivity, diversity and will support the schools interactions with the wider community. https://bit.ly/3kCLeh7 #enricharchitecture #educationarchitects #brisbanearchitects #stoliverplunkettprimaryschool
25.01.2022 It's all in the detail ... We love to explore the details within a project, as it is the details that can really make a project shine! The narrow nature of the existing 1930s brick building lent itself to offsetting the new internal spaces, creating an interesting cranked corridor. The existing internal art deco features including high ceilings, exposed beams and ornate cornice have all been preserved to pay respect to the original building. ... 25.01.2022 Care. Share. Learn. Grow. Our four pillars of wellbeing that drive our design ethos. Let's explore the last one - 'grow'. Our clients never stand still, neither do we. We want our clients to maximise their potential and create spaces to allow for their businesses and operations to flourish. Were constantly working with our clients to ensure theyre developing projects that will grow with them. From schools, child-care centres and kindies, to offices and churches - we develo...p spaces where communities can thrive and businesses can flourish. Our goal is to design buildings that can evolve and grow with time, allowing for expansion and changes that occur. Our satisfaction comes from seeing people fill the spaces we create with love, life and laughter. And so we continue to grow, pushing boundaries to create fresh ideas and deliver better designs each and every time. #enricharchitecture #brisbanearchitects #educationarchitects
25.01.2022 #LookingBack One of our favourite buildings, St Joseph's School, Chinchilla. We are loving the detail in the brickwork and whilst we now have access to some pretty powerful software to develop our projects, we admire the tenacity, detail and skill it took to create such classic and timeless work. Designed by our Company founder, Frank Cullen in 1938. Cullens work is proudly recognised here at Enrich Architecture and will be for many years to come.... 24.01.2022 Whether we are designing schools, churches, retirement homes, offices or community spaces all of these are valuable spaces where people get to spend time. When we design, we focus on four pillars - care, share, learn and grow - each pillar is equally important to developing spaces and places that provide the opportunity for wellbeing to occur. We apply this philosophy when we embark on a new design, seeing each project as an exciting opportunity to learn, to challenge ourse...lves, to break new ground and create something purposeful. Of course there's one environment where the end result for learning is highlighted, and that's our work in Education. We love our role as Architects in the Education space. Designing schools and childcare centres that nurture young minds and provide opportunities for growth is rewarding. A flexible learning environment must encourage and facilitate different pedagogical ideals both inside and outside of the classroom. Areas for learning, collaborative spaces, group work areas, quiet spaces to nurture the individual learner, support inclusivity and enhance community interaction. 21.01.2022 As we dug into our history, it was clear that from projects where we have revisited a site, that our clients truly value our service and trust our knowledge. 21.01.2022 Over the last few months, it's been sad to see so many people isolated and unable to enjoy the company of others as much as they'd like. And we hope that soon everyone will be able to do the same! #enricharchitecture #educationarchitects #childcarearchitects #civicarchitects #agedcarearchitects
20.01.2022 At Enrich, we have a diverse portfolio of clients from schools, child care, aged care, and retirement - to churches, community, or office buildings. With every project, our focus is always driven towards understanding the story and lives of the people who will inhabit the spaces we create. This allows us to ensure that our designs will enhance lives, bring more comfort, and nurture good health and happiness of those who occupy the spaces.

18.01.2022 This beautiful concrete stair is at the entry to the administration and classroom building at St Joseph’s Kangaroo Point that we completed with Kenbar Constructions mid 2017. Whilst most people climb these stairs every day without as much as a second glance, we see beauty and grace and can appreciate how they have matured with age! Our passion is to create those intangible elements within a building that when collected together, creates the unique space that is well loved and... well used - and occasionally appreciated! The concept behind the stair was to keep it open for visibility through the entrance to the school, achieved by cantilevering on a central wall to give the feeling of a floating stair. Now the planting underneath looks spectacular and the concrete lives with moss that can only come with age - they carry a presence that delivers elegance. #enricharchitecture #brisbanearchitects #edicationarchitects"

13.01.2022 Selecting colours is so much more than adding the decorative touches to a building. We know that colour has a direct and significant effect on how we feel, what we do and our overall well being. So we take great care when selecting colours to ensure we harness the power colours have to enhance the spaces we create. This natural combination of materials and colours we have been working on for a new primary school project will help create a feeling of peace and security. 11.01.2022 Our pre-planning involves designing the functionality of the space. This provokes thought on how the space will be used and how the occupants are to feel within the area. The administration office at St Thomas Primary School was designed to promote productivity while creating a safe and comfortable environment. There is no blanket design when it comes to creating a space that is to stand the test of time and be flexible in its use, thats why we are proud to say we are understanding and adaptable.
10.01.2022 Our hearts broke when we heard the news that the St Mary's Catholic Church on Barolin St, Bundaberg was destroyed in a fire last night. This building was designed by our founder Frank Cullen in 1955 so this news was even more upsetting to hear. Thankfully, no one was injured, but we are saddened for the community to have lost a historic community pillar in their town.

07.01.2022 Have you ever seen so many Churches? Our history can be traced back to 1936 to the private practice of founding father, Frank L. Cullen. He had several commissions for the Catholic Church. Taking a trip down memory lane, our company has designed a lot of Churches for many unique communities in Brisbane and surrounds. Influenced by the history of our company's previous Church designs and the growth of the community.... Here are a few of our practice's award-winning architectural designs... In 1970, St Marks Inala was awarded a citation for Meritorious Architecture by the QLD Chapter of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA). In 1965, Mt St Carmel was nominated for the Bronze Medal Award for the Building of the Year by the QLD Chapter of the RAIA. 05.01.2022 We are thinking of the residents of the Aged Care Facilities; many seniors in the community are feeling lonely and isolated at this time. Our Client Ozcare has responded to the current situation and have implemented restrictions including limiting visiting hours, numbers and locations within the facilities and limiting gatherings of residents of no more than five at a time. As such, the facilities have adapted with individual-focused activities, sitting, talking and reminisci...ng. The design of the indoor and outdoor spaces give the residents plenty of space for a lot of one-on-one time between staff and residents so they feel supported. Finding the joy in simple things; outdoor activities, walks in the garden, baking, board games, craft and movies to try to keep things as normal as possible are encouraged by the staff to help lift the residents spirits and to stay positive. 03.01.2022 Education is constantly evolving therefore when designing spaces for a learning environment, the spaces must be able to constantly adapt to be flexible enough to meet demands. Enrich Architecture completed several new building and refurbishment projects for St Ita's Primary School including new multi-level classrooms, a new Prep classroom building and external play space, a new Library, General Learning and Multi-Purpose Learning Areas, covered PE Area, New GLAs ...and Administration building, and the refurbishment of the classrooms designed in the 1970s to reflect current and future-forward learning practices. Safe to say, with a massive project like this funded by BER and BGA, the utmost care needed to be taken to ensure the finest details were considered in the design.
