18.01.2022 Glenelg, 1873 (approx) ..best I can enhance a bad photo, but ..a locomotive and carriages are seen in Moseley Square, and is stopped in front of the Pier Hotel ...near the jetty. The Adelaide to Glenelg railway (built by the Adelaide, Glenelg & Suburban Railway Co.) was opened on 2nd August 1873, via King William Street and South Terrace to Moseley Square, Glenelg on the route of the present tramway (NOT the North Terrace via Plympton line) ..slsa/pd (as requested) ..Today in comments See more

12.01.2022 Glenelg, 1984 ..the Milk Carton Regatta ..the best I could enhance a very small photo ..showing many competitors having fun on their milk cartons, that was firs...t held on the Patawalonga River in 1980. This car was called The Schwimwagen", and was a great attraction.
