25.01.2022 First main drop of calves have hit the ground for Spring :) well winter ... very exciting to see so many today when I was only expecting to find one or two ... instead there was about a doz ! Cows in great nic for calving ... in medium to light condition and just popping them out :) Will be looking at weaning the embryo calves shortly ... poor babies but they are getting very big on their mums at this time of year ...

18.01.2022 ENTALLY ANGUS is offering for the first time as a trial the lease of bulls to Hobby Farms and smaller acres who cant run on a bull as well as cows. Bulls will be delivered and collected by us for a cost of $990 for 6 weeks. Longer terms can be negotiated if required. 17.01.2022 Spent the last couple of days playing with cows :) bulls now happily moved to around the house and cows and calves are looking sensational ! Love seeing how eac...h new crop of calves grow up ... So many generations of my own breeding now ... 15.01.2022 Off to feed the bulls this morning :) they are just loving their pea straw we have them on this year ... new one for us to feed them this but so far they seem to love it ! not liking at all having to hard feed them ... missing Entally Forest grass and pivots. This rough stuff around the trees just isnt quite cutting it for finishing them off. But I must recommend Seedhouse cattle grower muesli !! Just popped them on it this week and they are in heaven ... only getting 2kg a day so nothing too exciting but looks by far to be the BEST product I have given when I was still showing cattle.

13.01.2022 Big day on the bulls today getting ready for next Wednesday the 16th April sale day !!! Boys looking OK considering they have come through a very tough summer here at Glen Rowan .. missing not having irrigation ... but their genetics are showing through I think ... do ability is so important in this day and age with our cattle, especially when you are breeding replacement heifers. Fingers crossed we get more rain over the next few day and this lovely warm weather continues !!

06.01.2022 HUGE day at Entally Angus today with Preg Testing females. GREAT result with our 16 H heifers with 100% success in an 8 week joining. Cows as well 100% and G Heifers only 2 ... poor babies milked a bit too well ...

Absolutely thrilled that 3 more herds now boast Entally Forest genetics :) thank you to Dunedin for purchasing 3 beautiful boys, Perrys KI, cant wait to visit them .... Platinum Angus took my first registered stud sire in a cracking NMMD78 sire, and wonderful returning clients the Chuggs from Bangor ... Loving the fact that my bulls were well received and remember that there are more at Entally Forest from where they came from :)
