20.01.2022 Melbourne Lockdown Success Stories: How Nicole lost 8.4kg in 12 weeks and changed her life during lockdown At the start of 2020, she was a workaholic juggling two jobs with lots of stress and not much free time.... Working from home since March and losing one of her jobs in June, followed by a break-up and living by herself, it’s been a rough ride. With her being over 5km away from her friends, and her family living overseas, Nicole had a 6-month stint of no real face to face interaction. Imagine that? To keep her sane, she picked up a job as a food delivery driver. It wasn’t about the money, Nicole needed human interaction, and this was her way of getting it. With her mental health declining, training was her outlet. Working out with our Enterprise Online Training Package 4 times per week, allowed her to stay active and continue to build her close bond with Coach Amy. Back on the dating scene, Nicole’s initial desire to train more with Enterprise was to look good for others. But, that’s not what exercise is about. Amy quickly made it clear to Nicole, that training is about HER, and no one else. Nicole deserved to use movement as a tool of kindness, not a tool of destruction. And what a change it's made! Nicole has been a long term client, but in 2020, she learned to put herself first; to prioritise her mental and physical health before her career, money and other people. 19.01.2022 Victorians got treated to another press conference with Daniel Andrews where he crushed the hopes and dreams of this (once great) city. In a question, he deemed... gyms as unsafe. Not fit for a COVID world. He said this was based on international data. Heres the international data I’ve collected so far: Montreal, Canada has recently reentered a red-zone lockdown for 28-days. Since the previous lockdown, they now have data and learnt personal training studios and gyms to be very low risk. As such, they were still permitted to operate inside of stage 1 red-zone lockdown under an appointment-based model. Data collected from the United States, from 49.4 million club visits, across 2877 locations in August, found the infection occurrence rate was 0.002% and zero transmissions occurred from any reported cases. Similarly, in the U.K., the infection rate is 0.34 cases per 100,000 visits from 22 million visits in two months following reopening with zero community transmission recorded. Domestically, data collected by Fitness Australia shows that from 7.31 million check-ins across 546 clubs in the first eight weeks after NSW reopened gyms, there were zero cases of reported community transmissions. If you're not playing along at home, folks, Melbourne recorded just ONE COVID case today. We are in the longest and strictest lockdown in the world for now once case a day. He's doing this for HIS political career - not to save lives. If there's another outbreak, his done and he knows it, meanwhile, this city cries itself to sleep.
19.01.2022 Tina’s Lockdown Story | 8 Kilos Down and More Motivated Than Ever! Medicated, lethargic, repressed, and running on 10 coffees a day, Tina had reached her limit. A single mum working full-time hours meant that she had little time to take care of herself.... She NEEDED change. A dream of one day competing felt far off, but 10.5 weeks ago, Tina made the decision to take one step closer. Now that COVID had given her more time out of the office, she was able to devote more time to herself. Having been recommended Enterprise Fitness as Melbourne’s best studio for training competitors, Tina was paired up with Master Physique Coach Liam Fitzgerald. Two sessions in and Melbourne was in lockdown AGAIN! But the work had only just begun. So, with a bit of adapting, Tina took on our Enterprise Online Programme to continue her journey. 19.01.2022 Meet Carol. Carol is a mum of 5 and a former triathlete. This meant hours of running, biking and swimming. ... She came to Enterprise Fitness because she wanted to focus on body composition, and she was prepared to put in the work to reach her goal. Turns out, it was much easier than she thought! We cut all her cardio other than adding a goal of 14,000 steps per day. The result? The photo on the left, Carol is 63.5 kilos. The photo on the right, 61.5 kilos. 07.01.2022 Standing up for Personal Trainers across Victoria! Enterprise Fitness is featured in the Herald Sun today, screaming out so the fitness industry can be heard. The fitness industry in Melbourne is set to be closed FOR 9 MONTHS, thanks to Andrew's Labor government. It's destroying trainers, businesses and the physical and mental health of Victorians.... We call for no confidence. Personal training studios can operate, keeping our clients safe from COVID. Personal Training studios have the best checks and balances in any industry, with on site temperature screening before entry, mandatory washing of hands on arrival, not to mention the very best contact tracing in any industry as everything is by appointment. The concept that personal training studios are sweat boxes where everyone sweats on top of each other is an old outdated idea, and we invite the CHO to inspect our facility for himself to see the high standards at which we operate. But, they have kept us out of any consultation - a shame as personal trainers are the front line of mental health for so many. This lockdown is costing livelihoods across Victoria and will be the end of many businesses. The untold misfortune of good Victorians is rampant and we call for our government to do better. 06.01.2022 Are diet rules destroying your life? -Don't have carbs after 4pm -Only eat white meat -Always measure your food... -Eat every 2 hours The list of diet rules is endless, even though many are helpful and have good intent. The problem, it's these very rules that make us feel trapped by our diets rather than using nutrition as a tool to live life more fully. Rules point out clear and apparent dangers. Obviously for some who have serious allergies, rules like "never eat shell-fish' should be adhered to at all times and a non-negotiable. AND- if you're trying to hit a very specific goal, rules are your friend. However, if you're eating for general lifestyle performance, we advocate using scalable nutritional principles rather than black and white set of diet rules. Examples: 1.
