22.01.2022 As you know in certain circumstances you can now obtain early access to some of your super if you have been impacted by COVID-19. If you are thinking about this there are a couple of things to bear in mind. Firstly now is the worst time to be taking you money out due to the fall in the stock market. Secondly taking super out now can have a dramatic impact on the amount you have in the future for retirement. If you need money you need money but withdrawing your super should be a last resort measure.

Unfortunately the first Government stimulus package does little to help it. Here are a couple of suggestions that may help you out. Firstly if you normally get a tax refund get your 2020 tax return lodged in early July to get your refund back. If you are behind in tax returns and you think refunds are due get them done and in. Finally in limited circumstances you may be able to get early access to any superannuation that you have. If you need any info on the above let us know.
