24.01.2022 Doing nothing can feel like the complete opposite of being productive, but once youve tried it you will see how effective it can be in recharging. Doing nothing can be a great investment into your mental health and wellbeing, and something worth making time for. Sundays are great for spending time doing nothing artwork: @gemmacorrell

23.01.2022 A great message from the Butterfly Foundation for Victorian's coming out of lockdown - focus on activities that spark joy and fun, rather than focusing on being a certain size and weight after lockdown. Be kind to yourself, you've been through a lot

21.01.2022 Things that don't define you as a person vs things that actually define you.

21.01.2022 Some people with depression may try to conceal the signs from others, or they may not even realise that they have depression. Although the typical symptoms of depression, such as sadness or hopelessness, can be easy to recognise, there are symptoms that may be less obvious. Like an iceberg, the tip represents depression and the behaviours or symptoms people may exhibit. There are many more complex feelings below the surface that often underly depression, which vary from pers...on to person. The levels of depression symptoms for those working in the entertainment industry are five times higher than in the general population. If you or someone you know are looking for help in managing depression, visit the link below for resources and support pathways. https://www.entertainmentassist.org.au/concerns

15.01.2022 You are enough, just as you are, just as you were made to be.

15.01.2022 This years message is: Theres more to say after are you OK? Before you can look out for others, you need to look out for yourself. And thats ok. If you're not in the right headspace or you don't think you're the right person to have the conversation, try to think of someone else in their support network who could talk to them. If you are ready to start a meaningful conversation, some follow up questions after are you OK? are:... Have you been feeling this way for a while? Im here to listen. 14.01.2022 'Theatres are empty but the arts don't die' A talented group of UK artists performed this inspiring number across London as theatres prepare for a second lockdown. Across the globe, we share the same sentiments We can't wait for theatre to return; for those performing on stage, working behind the scenes, and audiences alike.... And we will come back home

14.01.2022 More time spent at home and a lack of social and physical connection can conjure up feelings of loneliness and exclusion. It's important we stay connected with the people we care about during isolation - are you still checking in virtually with people?

11.01.2022 Hear from three young performing artists as they imagine life after-COVID, and carefully consider whether to continue pursuing a career in the arts. "We're no longer asking ourselves things like 'Oh, how can I... uphold an income whilst also pursuing my dream?' We're asking ourselves things like 'Is there still a dream?"

11.01.2022 Managing our emotions and supporting each other can be challenging at the best of times. This is why, more than ever, we all need to be doing our best to regularly pause, take a breath and be proactive in looking after ourselves and others.

10.01.2022 It's brave to keep going, when you want to stop. It takes even more courage, even more guts, to start doing things again, once we've come to a stop.

10.01.2022 Recovery is not linear. Often it is back and forth, bumpy, messy and at times really wobbly. A good day may be followed by a bad day, then two good days then a terrible day, and so on. The critical thing about recovery is not to judge yourself or your recovery.

04.01.2022 There are lots of things we can say and do to support the people in our life that may be struggling.

02.01.2022 We sometimes have experiences where we feel more than one emotion. In these situations of mixed feelings, we can get confused by our responses and be unsure about what we are feeling. 02.01.2022 "It's crazy times like these that we remind ourselves that all we have in life is each other, especially in the entertainment industry. Uncertainty in our lives can leave us feeling unstable and can have a damaging effect on our mental health. It's important to do things you love and I love to sing! I found joy in performing for others virtually during the pandemic. It was so wonderful to see the impact of live music and how it moves those who listen and share the experience." - Bobby Fox reflects on the year that was 2020.

01.01.2022 Never measure your self worth by what you are able to do or not in a day. It's okay to have unproductive days and you are allowed to take time for yourself as often as you need.
