11.01.2022 Were finally at the end of my Egypt trip. This was marked with a day tour to Alexandria. It was very different compared to everywhere - less traffic, a more relaxed and coastal feel, as well as a greco-roman influence with the artwork there. Im glad to have ticked it off the list but if your tour doesnt go there when youre in Egypt, dont stress too much about missing out. It was good for a little time out before flying home.

06.01.2022 Im still on the topic of Egypt and youll just have to enjoy these photos of my last day in Cairo. We went to a mosque that is modelled after the Blue Mosque in Istanbul. I also ventured out myself afterwards onto the streets and then to the religious quarter where there is a church that is built where Jesus, Mary and Joseph hid when they fled to Egypt, as well as the Ben Ezra Synagogue on the site where Moses was supposedly found (I only had a sneaky picture because youre not meant to take any ). The other church I went to was the Hanging Church, where there had been a church located on the site in one form or another since the third century.
