19.01.2022 BUSINESSES URGED TO REGISTER FOR DINE & DISCOVER The state’s peak business organisation Business NSW is encouraging businesses in the hospitality, entertainment and tourism sectors to register for the NSW Government’s Dine & Discover program. The call comes as the second phase of the pilot program is launched with residents of the Sydney CBD, Northern Beaches and Bega Valley now eligible for the four $25 vouchers.... This was a popular announcement from last year’s State Budget, and it’s important Central Coast businesses in tourism, hospitality and entertainment register now to be ready to benefit from the expected lift in customers when our turn comes, said Business NSW Regional Director Paula Martin. No one needs extra encouragement to have a meal out or enjoy some down time after the past year we have all endured, so I encourage businesses to do the right thing and register so they can reap the rewards, Ms Martin said. It’s important business owners understand that vouchers can only be used at premises that have a COVID Safety plan and are registered as COVID safe. Of course, businesses know customers are likely to spend much more than the $25 the voucher provides, and they have the opportunity of opening their business up to a whole new potential client base and encourage repeat visitation. There will be two distinct categories of voucher, ensuring as many businesses as possible can benefit from the program. Two vouchers can be used for eating in at restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs and clubs from Monday to Thursday, excluding public holidays. The remaining two vouchers are to be used for entertainment and recreation, including cultural institutions, live music, and arts venues and are available 7 days a week, excluding public holidays. This is welcome Government support for those industries who have borne the brunt of the pandemic, and the business community in NSW is right behind it, Ms Martin said.

15.01.2022 25 November 2020 THE PATH FORWARD CLEARER WITH RESTRICTIONS RELAXED The Berejiklian Government has detailed a clear pathway to the new ‘normal’ for businesses and the community with the relaxing of restrictions, according to the state’s peak business organisation, Business NSW. From 1 December, hotels and restaurants will be allowed one person per two square metres and 50 people will be able to visit a home. There will be no cap on the number of people allowed in small hospit...ality venues (up to 200 square metres), so long as they keep to the one person per two square metre rule, and up to 50 people will be allowed to gather in an outdoor space. Importantly, the Government has also repealed the Public Health order requiring employers to allow employees to work from home where it is reasonably practicable to do so, said Business NSW Regional Director Paula Martin. This has been the cause of great frustration from businesses of all sizes across the Central Coast, Ms Martin said. Business NSW has continually advocated to the Government for this regulation to change and I’m delighted that business can now properly plan and execute an integrated return to the office program for their employees, while ensuring a safe and compliant working environment. Changes to the number of people allowed in restaurants, cafes and hotels is also a great boost exactly one month before Christmas hopefully it means greater trading opportunities, extended hours and more jobs. Businesses have their part to play as well by ensuring they comply with the new regulations. Any breach, no matter how small, deserves to be penalised as we cannot afford to get complacent, especially as we head into the peak period for the hospitality industry. These regulations were brought in to protect the community from the spread of COVID-19 and their relaxation reflects the way the NSW community has dealt with and responded to the health crisis. We should all celebrate this announcement and look forward to our new normal, Ms Martin said. 12.01.2022 How do we change this from the was to the is the place to be again ???? If this doesn't tell us why our numbers are declined I dont know what dose quality affordable entertainment needs to be available We know the carousel is just as much an icon as the pelican feed but we had other amusements that all worked together -Mr Sherwood ran a sideshow ... -Belles boxing tent - we had an aquarium -housy hall -dance hall -mardigras parade and pagent -xmas eve carols -fishing Over all the comments we here is that the town is lacking a night life and that the eptide mall is a sad reminder of happy times We know that we can move forward and "change must happen " but the reason it worked so well in the past was due to a family friendly environment

It is with faith and trust in everyone to do the right thing to get tested , social distance and rember to wash your hands that we can overcome the challenges that we have experienced this year. Our thoughts go out to all the businesses still in lockdown knowing what stress they must be under and the weight of the responsibility they carry in the months ahead.
