25.01.2022 How Scott Morrison's $17.6 billion economic package will support Businesses, Individuals, Households + the Australian Economy in general. The Federal Government announced that it would assist Australians with a stimulus package due to COVID-19. This consists of four parts. [1] Delivering support for business investment. [2] Cash flow assistance for Businesses. [3] Stimulus payments to Households to support Growth. [4] Assistance for severely affected regions. ATO support mea...sures to assist those affected by COVID-19. The ATO have announced it will implement a series of administrative measures to assist Australians experiencing financial difficulty as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. The options are: [1] Deferring payments + due dates of up to four [4] months for BAS, IAS, Income Tax and Fringe Benefits Tax assessments; [2] Allowing businesses to vary their PAYG Instalments to $0; [3] Remitting interest + penalties incurred on or after 23 January 2020; and [4] Working with affected businesses to help them pay their existing + ongoing tax liabilities by allowing them to enter into a low interest payment plans.
