18.01.2022 In the hill tribes of Northern Thailand, poor water & sanitation is one of the major factors keeping families in poverty due to ill health, especially the children With clean water they now have energy, time to carry out daily chores, make an income and go to school! Alongside our partners, villagers provide labour & share in the cost of the project, they all receive training and are now proactively maintaining the water systems to ensure decades of clean water #WorldWaterDay2021 #22March
18.01.2022 Our world is an unequal one COVID-19 has hit all countries hard, but its impact has been harshest on those communities which were already vulnerable, who are more exposed to disease & less likely to have access to quality health care. This World Health Day we join the campaign to build a fairer, healthier world.... One of the most important ways to improve health in developing countries is by educating citizens. Educating people enables them to obtain safer jobs, increased health literacy, take preventive healthcare measures, avoid riskier health behaviours and demand better-quality health services. This is why Education is one of the 4 strategic areas we focus on. It's not just a key to a better future. It’s a lifeline.
13.01.2022 What does WATER mean to you? To the people we work with, clean water is the difference between being healthy or sick, being well enough to go to work or school, being able to grow crops to eat and sell, and accessibility means not having to walk kms everyday, putting yourself at risk of being attacked or injured. Often this walk is not even to a clean water source, but it's their only option. For them, access to clean water is literally a matter of life and death ... 1 in 3 people around the world do not have safe drinking water! That's why working alongside communities to provide sustainable clean water sources, as well as sanitation facilities and hygiene education, is a priority for us - and always will be. #WorldWaterDay2021 #whatdoeswatermeantoyou #cleanwater #WASH #watersanitationhygiene #enablinghopeinhardplaces
13.01.2022 Did you know donating money simply makes you feel better? It activates pleasure centres in the brain And when your kids see you donating money, they’re much more likely to adopt a giving mindset as they grow up What's not to love? #generosity #giving #kids #thebrain #pleasure ... #entrustfoundation #enablinghopeinhardplaces See more
10.01.2022 How far would you walk for safe water? Over 200 million people are walking an average of 6kms every day to gather waterWomen and children bear the primary responsibility for water collection & it's a dangerous task. It is also time not spent working at an income-generating job, caring for family members, or attending school. This issue is close to our heart at Entrust We have many projects working with local communities ensuring sustainable solutions to provide clea...n water, sanitation and hygiene for all. Safe drinking water is a human right! #worldwaterday2021 #22March
