21.01.2022 It's tough finding work experience as an engineering student or recent graduate in these uncertain times. We're happy to announce that we are still considering future internship applications, and planning for remote internship opportunities. In February, prior to social distancing, we sat down with the interns who completed our summer vacation program to reflect on their experiences. We hope it is good motivation for students to continue to look for practical experience and stay engaged with EEI. Read more on our website: http://enviroengineers.com.au/news-view.php

02.01.2022 Kevin T Siswanto (UWA civil), our intern for 2016-17 writes: During my internship at EEI, I have gained a lot of invaluable working experience and some practical skills. I had learnt a lot about wastewater industry, which I wasnt familiar of initially, and from there I was able to gain a general understanding of the industry background. I was then assigned to a big project that was still in the research & development phase, where I worked with other interns from different ba...ckgrounds to design a wastewater system for a client. Here, I learned to make drawings and design using different software from scratch within the first month of my internship. I also did a lot of research on the heating system, systems material and other design of other components. At EEI, I have also learnt some soft skills that are highly transferrable in the engineering industry, such as teamwork - working with others in a team, communication from presenting our weekly progress report to the managers, and many more. It has been a really great experience, as it is filled not only with workload, but also some social activities with the staff such as sports day, picnic activities, any many more. Overall, it was a great pleasure and honour working with EEI, great working environment and friendly staff! Kevin
