22.01.2022 Idea for 2021. Are you frustrated by people in your workplace always getting their takeaway coffee in takeaway cups, even though they all have keep cups? Thanks for this share on Zero Waste + Plastic Free Living Perth WA Facebook page - cups stored near the exit so they are easy to grab on the way out. Add in a cup holder and you can easily get coffee for the team. Great idea!

21.01.2022 Happy first World EV Day check this out! If you haven't watched 'Fight for Planet A' you really should. On iView now. We love electric bikes too!

21.01.2022 If you are having trouble with ants in your kitchen (aren't we all?) a quick easy and cheap remedy is to spray them and their trail with the Vigor All Purpose Cleaner from Envirocare. We sell this Bayswater WA made product in our EcoShop. Dilute it into a spray bottle as per instructions. It kills the ants and keeps them at bay and cleans your kitchen without harmful chemicals. Just keep a bottle in your kitchen. Especially when the ants completely ignore other baiting systems. Let us know if it works for you

20.01.2022 Share and Repair in Bayswater is going off! With rockets, vacuum cleaner repairs, sewing repairs, bikes, and our Eat for Planet Earth Workshop cooking up a stir fry.

19.01.2022 Bayswater local Alexandra Ellis has gifted our community a Nature Play Trail along the Bayswater Foreshore this Christmas. 07.01.2022 A good reminder.

07.01.2022 What do you think? There is now a push to tax owners of electric cars because their owners don't pay the fuel excise tax on petrol. Electric cars are viewed as owned by 'rich people' and the 'petrol tax' paid by ordinary wage earners, without understanding the big picture here. That argument completely misses the point. Government policy that makes electric cars affordable for people with long commutes reduces greenhouse gas emissions AND cuts their running costs for travel s...ubstantially. The equity issue here is making electric cars affordable for everyone to benefit. Electricity is cheaper and you can make free power on your roof. It's local and not subject to international fluctuations in price. Car batteries store power. On top of that, cutting greenhouse gases will save tax payers billions in the future. Billions. To argue that equity on a fuel excise tax is the big picture here means to me that you are not understanding the climate emergency we are facing. You're not understanding how electric cars save money for ordinary wage earners. We just have to be smarter at problem solving than this. See more

06.01.2022 In our state, in 2020. Woodside is pushing forward with "the most polluting fossil fuel project ever to be proposed in Australia".

06.01.2022 As a local environment group tackling global issues such as waste and climate change, we haven't had one cent of Federal funding in 7 years. Imagine being written a $10 million tax payer grant with very little reporting requirements. We'd be dreaming.

06.01.2022 It's hard to believe the focus continues on consumers and Councils instead of the packaging industry. Hard to believe Mindarie Regional Council just shut down its brilliant waste education team. https://www.abc.net.au//wa-confronts-recycling-cr/12629488

06.01.2022 Food for thought!

05.01.2022 In the not too distant past, the WA Barnett Government invested millions of tax payers money to refurbish Muja coal fired power station. No politician was paying attention to the increasing energy efficiency of appliances or the uptake of solar by households. They conducted policy as if it was business as usual and squandered millions of dollars on a power station we didn't need. It's an important lesson in paying attention to what's coming and not what's been. This is coming.

05.01.2022 Packaging. All that freedom to create waste.

05.01.2022 In 2021 join with any action you can to force action on climate change. Look your kids in the eyes and act.

05.01.2022 Craig Reucassel did an awesome job with first episode of 'Fight for Planet A', last night on ABC. Which fact caught your attention?
