23.01.2022 Update 2.50pm Saturday 27 March - Police are continuing the search for missing Whyalla man Donald ‘Barry’ Cain and are asking local residents to check their pro...perties. Mr Cain is 79 and was last seen leaving his Whyalla Stuart residence about 4.45pm on Thursday 25 March. Police and family have concerns for his welfare as he suffers from a medical condition and may be disorientated. Barry is described as Caucasian, about 170cm tall with blue eyes and white hair. He was wearing a black and white striped top and black pants. A photo of Barry, captured on the day he went missing, has been included below and he is believed to be wearing the same clothing. Today, Whyalla police are continuing their search for Donald with the assistance of SES personnel, STAR Group officers and the police helicopter (PolAir). Police are requesting if residents in the Whyalla area could please check their properties and report any information to Police on 131 444. Anyone with a dashcam's who may have been travelling in the vicinity of McDouall Stuart Avenue and the Lincoln Highway, Whyalla between 4.30pm and 6.30pm on Thursday 25 March, are asked to review their footage and contact police immediately should they identify any elderly person fitting the description of the missing person.
