10.01.2022 The Golf World had some sad news earlier this week with the passing of Peter Alliss. Mr Alliss was a big advocate for greenkeeping and will be sorely missed.

03.01.2022 With 18 university students working with his permanent crew, Pymble Golf Club Superintendent, David Stone seems to have hit on a whole new solution to resourcing his golf course maintenance crew. With our access to greenkeepers out of the northern hemisphere cut off because of Covid related border restrictions, we at EnvoyGolf are now actively recruiting university students in Australia on summer break as an alternative workforce. So, we were very keen to catch up with David to find how this is working out for him. #EnvoyGolf
03.01.2022 MARK MATEHAERE Founder - EnvoyGolf Mark is one of two founding directors of Ellington Savage, www.ellingtonsavage.com.au, an international search firm established in 1993. ... Playing golf for more years than he cares to remember he is a member of one of the worlds top ranked courses, New South Wales Golf Club at La Perouse. For over 30 years he has been lucky to enjoy the course and its spectacular views most weekends. This interest in golf and membership at New South Wales Golf Club led to his applying his broader recruitment industry experience within the golf industry recruiting the then titled Green Keeper in 1989. Since then, he has been involved in every senior appointment at New South Wales Golf Club; three General Managers, three Golf Managers/Director of Golf, Head Professional, a couple of Head Chefs, F&B Manager, Finance Manager/Assistant General Manager and after 29 years the current Course Superintendent. Through that work Mark was referred into other clubs and has had the privilege of recruiting some of the most senior roles of many great clubs in Sydney; The Australian, Manly, Bonnie Doon and Royal Sydney. Most of this work has involved tapping into, and recruiting out of offshore markets in North America, the UK, Europe, South Africa and Asia. This international involvement parallels the work involved in the core Ellington Savage practice, which has sourced talent out of international markets for some of Australia's highest profile organisations in a range of sectors. It is this exposure to the international golfing industry which led to solving specific golf industry resourcing issues from a global, cross border perspective.
01.01.2022 EnvoyGolf is excited to announce a new partnership with the African Turf Academy, referenced here by Andrew McKenna, CEO and Founder in his Facebook promotion of the course. We have committed to place at least 20 of their graduates, into the Australian Golf industry after they graduate in September next year. Affiliated with the Scottish Rural University College in Scotland, graduates come with qualifications and at least one to two years experience working on surrounding ...golf courses in Pretoria. We see this as an important initiative in bringing more young experienced and qualified greenkeepers into the Australian market. And if by some chance the border restrictions are eased before then, we will be working with Andrew to tap into their pool of existing graduates. We believe that coming to Australia, the golf industry and making a new career and life here, will be a very compelling proposition for young South Africans. We will keep you posted.
