06.01.2022 Always "starting again on Monday" with your diet? Well today is Monday! Our friend and accredited practicing dietitian Jacinta has some great tips for adding more into your diet. @jacinta_b_nutrition Often when people set a goal to improve their health, they jump to listing all of the things they feel they should remove from their diet. This restrictive mentality leads to fear around foods and can quickly lead to weekend blow outs followed by starting again on Monday."... A simple way to avoid this is to focus on what we can add to our diets when wanting to improve our overall health. Some things everyone would benefit from adding to their diet are: 1. Veggies veggies veggies! Aim for colour and variety to keep it interesting. Plus, your gut will love you for it 2. Nuts and Seeds. Try adding a small handful of nuts and seeds to your midday salad or afternoon snack for some great healthy fats and protein 3. Oily fish. Enjoy salmon or similar 2-3 nights per week for a kick of omega-3 fatty acids 4. Beans and Legumes.
