21.01.2022 All children, no matter where they live, deserve a healthy start to life. This year, why not suggest family or friends give a gift that will endure long after the Christmas tree comes down? A donation to EON in your name provides the gift of great nutrition to those who need it most. https://eon.org.au/donate/ Thank you so very much to all our friends and supporters for your generosity in 2020 - our work would not be possible without you. Warmest wishes to you all.

16.01.2022 A big shout out to one of our loyal supporters in the Mid-West, TAFE lecturer Clint Hansen. Not only did Clint take the time to participate in our film shoot at Mount Magnet and Meekatharra last year, he has also provided hands-on support to our Mid-West Project Manager Sally, helping her with projects like earth-moving in the EON gardens. Thank you Clint for all your help, we really appreciate it!

15.01.2022 Have you seen our EON Foundation Annual Report yet?? We are proud to share our achievements with you. Read on.... https://eon.org.au/our-story/reports/

15.01.2022 Latest news from the Nullagine Nugget - "Our students have been spoilt this week with visits from Foodbank and EON Foundation. The students' favorite part of EON's visit was making their very own cheese wraps. Yum!" Accompanied by pumpkin soup - a great example of 'from garden to table'. EON is privileged to work with the Nullagine school and community, and Foodbank WA. Thanks to the Nullagine Community Resource Centre for the 'Nugget'!

10.01.2022 EON Project Managers & Community Assistants have nurtured veggie & fruit seedlings over recent months. They are now being planted out in our edible gardens in remote Aboriginal communities, with flourishing results! All helping to improve supplies of fresh, nutritious and 'yummy' food!

09.01.2022 This week's inspiration comes to us from Yiyili in the Central Kimberley - and the wonderful Priscilla's gorgeous garden. In addition to an edible garden at the school, EON's Project Manager Erika has been helping out with community and home veggie gardens. No words needed - just 'feel the joy' of Pricilla's garden (and be inspired)! Yiyili Aboriginal Community School Yiyili Aboriginal Community

07.01.2022 What a great program at Urapunga School! And the EON garden is flourishing.

05.01.2022 Treat yourself to a virtual visit to the EON garden at Yakanarra in the Central Kimberley. EON community assistants Lee and Tyrone have been working with Project Manager Erika to expand and re-design the school garden this dry season. There are new vegetable beds, more fruit trees, and a sensory area is being constructed that includes art, painted stepping stones, river sand, a fire pit, herbs, and flowers. Take a stroll, feel the peace - and be inspired!

05.01.2022 EON Project Managers are so happy to be back on the road, and delivering the Thriving Communities Program to our wonderful remote communities. And there's plenty of good things happening in the EON edible gardens! Have you had a chance to look at our updated website? https://eon.org.au/ #eatmoreveg

03.01.2022 I don’t want to see Indigenous children left behind. Getting basic elements right means other measures of life outcomes will be better off. Now is the time, a...t a national level, to realise a dedicated and coordinated approach for improving Indigenous childhood outcomes. 03.01.2022 And that's a wrap! After 6 fantastic years in the West Pilbara, this morning we marked the completion of our Thriving Communities Program at South Hedland Primary School. The garden looks amazing and is bursting with produce! Our Founder, Caroline di Mori, presented the school with a certificate at the end of year assembly to honour their incredible work. We are very proud of the children who have achieved so much during the life of the program and as we "hand over" we look forward to keeping in touch. Thanks to BHP who supported our work, our wonderful partners Foodbank WA and Pilbara Population Health, and to the ever-energetic and hard-working EON team- especially Tim Richards and Jacqui Toyne. What a great note to end the year on!

02.01.2022 A massive thank you goes out to George and Wendy Mauderer from Queensland who have provided EON's NT team with another in-kind donation. This time we’ve been fortunate to be gifted an array of kitchen equipment for use in our classes- all especially selected by George for easy use by little hands. Also included: a selection of herbs and some seeds for the EON garden. Thank you so much George and Wendy for your thoughtful generosity- it is very much appreciated!
