20.01.2022 Last week, EPA Officers attended a residential property in Clyde in response to a tyre fire. The Country Fire Authority and EPA determined there was no further risk. There will be an investigation into the stockpile and other circumstances before EPA recommends further action.
19.01.2022 After a heavy rainfall event, you may notice a darker water colour in local waterways. Heavy rains wash large amounts of organic matter, such as leaves and wood into waterways. 18.01.2022 EPA has released drone video of the Diggers Rest property used by Alex Anasis as an illegal dumpsite. This week, Anasis was fined $82,610 without conviction over the dumping of significant volumes of waste. EPA has successfully prosecuted the Campbellfield man over the dumping of skip bin loads of waste on the rural property. The waste included waste tyres, concrete, bricks, soil, metal, timber, plastic, plaster sheet, mattresses, household rubbish and green waste, in piles measuring up to an estimated 90 cubic metres.
