25.01.2022 Hi everyone, from Uluru We arrived yesterday to 40 degrees, high winds and a red dust storm! The red centre really showed us something different, we couldn’t see Uluru/The Rock or Khata Tjuta/Olgas However we had a different experience and I had great faith and shattered nerves when deciding to go ahead with the Sounds of Silence Dinner Party, I knew that Voyages wouldn’t risk going ahead with our special event if we were at risk, it was still blowing as we boarded the ...AAT Kings Coach for Dinner, but eased right off and the dust cleared. It was still a wonderful experience The group are getting to know each other and today we visited the of the show. The temperature was perfect for a morning walk and we saw rock art and marvelled at Uluru, the waterhole had filled up from the rain 3 nights ago, then it was back to Yulara for a free afternoon. Most went on a Helicopter flight and really loved it Tomorrow Khata Tjuta! I have already decided that we will run a Red Centre Tour again, probably end of August 2021 See more

23.01.2022 Update Red Centre Tour We are back in the Alice! We started out Sunday with a small group making our way to CooberPedy, we saw wildflowers purple, white, yellow and some patches of Desert Peaswe arrived a bit earlier than normal, after check in, several of our guests joined me for a town walk, I took them into the Underground Catholic Church and then to the Umoona underground Centre where they were kind enough to let us into watch the film of the history of Opal ( it was Sun...day and around 5pm). Yesterday we travelled to the Alice and we once again experienced rain in the desert, I am totally blown away by the difference in the landscape on the Stuart Highway from the recent rains! From bare thirsty dirt to Green grass that looks like it needs mowing!! I can’t believe how lucky we are to experience seeing it, in these extreme contrasts, I love Australia so much We also saw a group of 8 ... that’s right 8 Eagles around a kangaroo carcass with a 9th perched on a knoll, wildlife has returned to the Stuart Highway, the last trip there was no wildlife due to the drought. Last trip it rained around the Marla area, and there it is now lush, this trip it rained from where it stopped last time, so I can only imagine what that will look like in a couple of weeks We showed everyone the planes being stored at the Alice airport, it appearedcthere were more this trip, photos do it no justice at all. We are now settled into the Crowne Plaza for 3 nights, leisurely day today... stay tuned See more

Today the group did the beautiful scenic drive to Cape Jervis to catch the ferry to Penneshaw, then first thing was Cape Willoughby Lighthouse, the Islands most Easterly point. 19.01.2022 Kangaroo Island Tour Update We started yesterday morning in American River with a lovely breakfast at the Mercure. Everyone had seen some kind of wildlife, some saw echidna, wallabies, black cockatoos and pelicans of course. Next it was onto the wharf for a talk about the Independence and some history of the exploration of the Island. Next a drive to Emu Bay Lavender Farm for a talk and morning tea, I must say I was pleasantly surprised, as I am not a lavender fan, however the peppermint & lavender iced tea, lavender scone and jelly was delicious! Next a walk on the Emu bay jetty and a swim for Lilly and David. Then onto Kingscote for lunch a wander then check in at the Ozone. A free afternoon before we gathered in our private seafront dining room for dinner. A day of adventures exploring the south and west coast, stay tuned
