17.01.2022 This weeks golden gunslinger goes to an armidale local. From the second she opened her mouth during auditions and we heard her voice for the first time we knew she was one to watch. She’s dedicated, multi talented and a joy to have in rehearsals, this weeks golden gunslinger Kate Ryan! Hello my dudes, my name is Kate Ryan and I am currently in my third year studying a bachelor of media and communications. I live in Armidale and finished school at NEGS. I was given the oppor...tunity to play Young Bonnie and Eleanore, and have enjoyed the experience immensely. I have always loved singing but have never had the courage to do it but this year I said screw it (not verbatim) and decided to face my fear and live my best life. (Pictured right)
11.01.2022 We may be physically apart but together - We will remember them.
10.01.2022 And we’re baaaack! Your musical society has finally returned to Armidale to get down and dirty with Bonnie & Clyde! Dates, times and a lot more dramatic splendour to come!
06.01.2022 This fortnight’s golden gunslinger goes to a multitasking legend. He is a hard working, dedicated and loyal member of the Musical Committee. He had not only filled the shoes of Production Manager but has immersed himself with the entire process of creating a musical and even playing the role of Deputy Bud. He has a great eye and vision for the set and we are so excited he is on our team. So without further ado, introducing Jack Pickering! A 1st year, Bachelor of Sports scien...ce from Tamworth, just down the road. Im the production manager and assistant vocal coach. I grew up on TV and Video games, so ive always been invested in storytelling and adventure. Voice acting and stepping in the shoes of characters and their insane questlines has always been a release for me. Helping others master the characters they portray is tons of fun and often hilarious. I also happen to have an extensive background in construction, so it seemed only right that i gave back to my college by offering up some of my tradie skills. See more
03.01.2022 This weeks golden gunslinger goes to a true jack of all trades. A new member of the society, he has been hitting the mark every practise, going above and beyond all expectations. Able to take on any role, he has been able to fill in for any character while still succeeding in his own. He’s a committed, outstanding actor whose talent is undeniable and a truely valued member of Earle Page. So without further ado, introducing Nick Troon! Howdy There, my name is Nick Troon and... I am playing Young Clyde as well as being the understudy for Clyde. I am a First Year studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Theatre and Performance. I have been an Armidale local for 15 years, and I am a passionate thespian and have been so for the last 8 years with Bonnie and Clyde being my 23rd show in Armidale. I love Musical Theatre and Shakespeare in particular, and over the last 2 years I've been lucky enough to be helping in the drama and music departments at my old high school. I've also been lucky enough to direct about 7 short plays and 1 radio play, as well as being a cohost on TUNE!FM's "Weekly Review" for the last year, and a frequent guest on their theatre based radio show "Anthology". Bonnie and Clyde is an energy filled yet emotional show and even though we're stuck in quarantine at the moment, I can sense that we'll get it up and going, because the show must go on!!! See more
01.01.2022 This fortnight’s Golden Gunslinger has been the toughest one so far, with such a talented cast and crew, the caliber of talent increases so much that who gets the title quickly becomes a fierce debate amongst the committee. This week it was evident that not one, but two people deserves this title. Our first gunslinger is an extremely hard worker, her character conviction is impeccable. She has attended every rehearsal she has been scheduled and arrived with enthusiasm, dedi...cation to her craft and a positive attitude that truely makes her shine in everyone’s eyes. Some of you may recognise her as Vivian from Legally Blonde or Mama from Chicago, it’s Anika Shcmitzer! Our second is a determined and passionate actor. Her interpretation of both of her roles is terrific and she always asks questions to deepen her characterisation. She is an asset to the cast and an enthusiastic person to work with. Known for her roles as Kate from Legally Blonde or one of the six merry murderesses from cook county jail, it’s Bridie Isaac! So without further ado, introducing this weeks golden gunslingers, Anika and Bridie! Hiya! My name is Anika, I’m originally from Sydney, however moved to EPC four years ago to study a bachelor of zoology. In this years production of Bonnie and Clyde I am playing the part of Blanche Caldwell Barrow, the wife of Buck Barrow. The musical is one of the most exciting aspects of college life, this being the third EPC production I have been a part of. In the current situation our world is sitting in, musical rehearsals are providing some very much needed structure to the week. Hi, I'm Bridie and I'm from Brisbane, but I normally live at EPC in Armidale for Uni (Bachelor of Zoology), which I am in my 3rd year of. I'm super keen to again be part of a college musical, and this year for Bonnie and Clyde i'll be playing the roles of Trish and Cumie. Earle Page's annual musical has been one of the highlight of my past two years at college, and is one of the reasons I chose EPC when deciding where I wanted to live while at Uni. I love the positive energy it creates and the amount of friends I've made each year. A friendship forged in the fires of adversity is a strong as one that has weathered the test of time. In other words, people who were forced to do ridiculous amounts of star jumps together stay together. <33
