03.01.2022 Following the briefing at Renmark Hotel, Day 1 saw us transverse several different styles of countryside. Immediately crossing the Victoria boarder we traveled through the Murray-Sunset National Park. The park was full of sand hills, blind crests and twists and turns keeping all drivers and navigators on their game. On leaving the National Park we crossed back into South Australia and traveled through cereal grain, sheep and cattle country, stopping for lunch at the Karoonda Area school and the southern most part of the TREK. On a full stomach we were back on track heading west across the Murray River at Murray Bridge before turning north for our overnight stay in the Barossa Valley.
