With all but one pistol and rifle events now decided focus switches to the shotguns where the race for positions has intensified. In the mens trap two spots are available and Victorian farmer James Willett, who was 5th in RIO, has secured the first but behind him just 4 points separates Thomas Grice and Mitchell Isles in the race for Tokyo. Grice, is a former world mixed trap Gold Medallist and Iles is one of the rising stars of the sport, hes the current Oceania champion won his way to the RIO Olympics at just 16. In the Womens Trap, after the first three rounds World Cup winner Penny Smith has secured one nomination but the fight for the other will be a cracker. Defending Olympic champion Catherine Skinner goes into the final event just three points behind world champion and Commonwealth Games Gold medallist Laetisha Scanlan.
