21.01.2022 A Message From Rob: Just completed a safari and Kilimanjaro climb with a family from the US in Tanzania. Thanks to this family who, by navigating the COVID restrictions, were able to support the livelihoods of over 180-200 Tanzanian staff (each likely to be supporting 6-8 individuals). Tourism really does make a huge difference to local people. All staff everywhere did a great in complying with the Tanzanian COVID19 prevention guidelines. A big shout out to Charley Swy...nnerton who helped me guide the safari portion for the non climbers whilst I was on the mountain. Saraphina and Lucas from Legendary Lodge, Arusha; Rebecca Phillips and Greg and the wonderful staff at Lemala Kuria Hills ( see sunset picture below): Everyone at Little Chem Chem: Everyone at Xanadu, Zanzibar and Ola and his incredible team at Summits Africa on Kili. Thank you all for your flexibility. Every one (staff and travellers) home safe after a successful safari and summit attempt to the roof of Africa. The luxury of this trip is seeing the Serengeti and Kilimanjaro with hardly anyone else. Desperate times for the industry but an extraordinary experience for all those travellers who can make the effort.
