23.01.2022 MEET THE TEAM Geoff digital production manager with a passion for fitness What do you do at EPM? I look after the production of digital print orders. This involves anything and everything from communicating with sales reps and colleagues to ensuring clear delivery of orders, ordering of consumables for all digital presses and finishing orders. ... I also look after hands on printing of jobs daily, problem solving with technicians to resolve issues, printing and finishing wide format jobs and arranging orders so they are printed in the most productive manner. How long have you worked at EPM? 4 years, with 23 years’ print industry experience. What would you be if you weren’t in the print industry? Tough question. I feel I would still be in a field which is creative and hands on. I would also likely be in a sector that improves or helps the environment or the community. Favourite thing to do outside of work? I enjoy spending time with my family, just about anything related to fitness, going to the beach. Quiet time to myself is rare with 3 kids but I cherish it. Something about you most people don’t know. In a former life, I played bass in several bands for many years.

As a prepress operator, I correctly format files we receive from customers and set them up for our digital and offset printers. ... Prepress is all about pagination and imposition. Pagination is the process of separating the content into discrete pages while maintaining the correct order. Imposition is the arrangement of the pages on the printing sheet to make the entire process more efficient, simplify binding and reduce waste. How long have you worked at EPM? 7 years Favourite thing to do outside of work? Spend time with family and keep active. I’m also a DJ at the weekends, spinning decks at local bars and events. What would you be if you weren’t a prepress operator? Most likely something to do with music or teaching. Something about you most people don’t know. I get up half an hour every day to practice eco meditation.

Favourite thing to do outside of work Lots of yoga, going to the gym, playing netball, long walks along the beach. I love cooking and baking when I get the time. On Sundays, I like to pour a glass of wine and prepare for the week ahead. I also enjoy spending valuable time with my family, going out to restaurants, drinking nice wine, eating good food and socialising. What would you do if you weren’t in sales? Yoga Something about you most people don’t know. I played one game of tackle football Coffs Harbour and it hurt.

02.01.2022 The 2020 Dunga Derby by Rally for a Cause was epic with a record number of teams entered (64) and a record number of participants (234) including the EPM crew! The event also raised the most money in one year - a whopping $280,000 to support locals doing it tough. Since 2015 the Dunga Derby has raised approximately $1.3 million for Rally for a Cause. Registrations for the 2021 event open on 23 January 2021.
