They offer an evidence based objective measure of progress and give good guidance around the most appropriate exercises for your current level of function. 16.01.2022 Helpful Hints and Tips! The Australian Physiotherapy Association has shared a few useful stretches for relieving stiffness/tightness through the neck, shoulders and back. These are effective stretches, particularly for those still working from home or at a desk for prolonged periods of time. *Always remember: Stretch to tightness, never pain. If the stretch causes you discomfort, stop!*

06.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE MASSAGE THERAPY: New government restrictions on massage therapy have now come into effect where we are now unable to provide massage treatments while these restrictions are in place. We will inform you as soon as these restrictions are lifted, and we are able to provide massage services again. ... Remember, if you are in pain and in need of treatment, our physios are still here to provide treatments for you and you can ring the practice on 3354 1819 or book online. PILATES CLASSES: Due to the new government restrictions, we are also suspending our Pilates classes - this includes our Prenatal and Mums & Bubs classes. It DOES NOT currently include our Clinical Rehab classes these classes are continuing as they are categorised as a physiotherapy service, and the number of participants is strictly limited to adhere to the social distancing 4 square metre per person rule. Again, we will inform you as soon as we can get these classes up and running again. R u ok day is all about creating a world where we are all connected and are protected from suicide. Its important to not ignore when you notice someone you know isnt behaving as they normally would... show them that they are not alone, they have your support and even help them find strategies to better manage the load.

Reggies talk discussed the safe use of exercise with Cancer patients. We are all very proud of Reggie for his excellent presentation and delivery. Good work!!
01.01.2022 You may have heard of your Pelvic Floor muscles... but did you know that you should doing exercises to care for and strengthen them everyday? In the Womens Health Survey this year, 96% of people said they knew what the correct exercises were, but less than a fifth were doing them everyday! As a summary - your pelvic floor is made up of layers of muscles and connective tissues that act as a sling supporting your bladder and bowel (and in females the Uterus). Yes men you ha...ve pelvic floor muscles too! It is very important to be aware of your pelvic floor if you are pregnant, have had children, are transitioning to menopause or if you have had abdominal, hip or back surgery! It is more than just a few squeezes a week, in these cases it needs to be an intensive pelvis floor program! And if you are experiencing any pelvic floor issues, such as bladder leakage - you need to seek help for it. No matter how small! Because we can make a big difference!!! Dont ignore it and you dont need to be embarrassed to talk about it! See more
