23.01.2022 City Walk with Trevor Quite a few members and family took up Trevor’s call for a Historic City Walk in beautiful sunny Sydney. I’d like to thank Trevor for organising this informative and delightful day. It was brilliant!

20.01.2022 Boatshed Update: On Wednesday, Rhys O'Brien from Skope Constructions handed over the keys to the Meadowbank Boatshed to Peter Buckley, Epping Scout Group, NSW Group Leader. The Certificate of Practical Completion has been issued, the site fences removed, the signs erected and, apart from some bibs and bobs, the project is completed. A good design by Emma Whitworth from ARCHITECTEM, a very happy client who is keen to start using the shed, and a project on budget and, almost, on time. Thanks to everyone at the Club for your interest. Epping Community Bank Branch

18.01.2022 COMMUNITY 2121 AWARDS, 2020 Epping Community Bank Branch of Bendigo Bank Epping Community Bank Branch of Bendigo Bank is calling for nominations for its annual Community 2121 Awards. These awards are presented to deserving residents of the 2121 postcode who have demonstrated outstanding commitment and selfless dedication for the benefit of our community.... There are numerous volunteers and community-minded local citizens who assist our schools, community agencies, welfare associations, arts and music societies, charitable organisations, sports clubs, and various other groups. We see the Community 2121 Awards as recognition of these quiet achievers who tirelessly work in so many ways to serve our community in an outstanding capacity. As well as the Community 2121 General Award, open to all local residents, there is also a special category the Community 2121 Youth Award - for applicants who are under 25 years of age at January 1, 2020. Given the difficulties facing all levels of our community in 2020, we believe it is even more important to recognise and acknowledge our deserving volunteers this year. If you wish to nominate a local person for either the General Award or the Youth Award, please contact the branch for a nomination form and complete it with specific details of the candidate’s community service, to Epping Community Bank Branch, 2 Oxford St, Epping, NSW, 2121, or by email to [email protected] You may submit more than one nomination if you wish. Applications close on Monday, November 9. A selection panel will choose the award winners, who will be notified by November 16. The awards will be presented at a special function on the evening of November 30, 2020. If there are any questions, please contact Stephen Hu or Junie Kanlapan at the branch on 02 9869 0818. 06.01.2022 Toula’s Corner It was great to have 29 members and guests attend our Zoom Club Meeting on Monday! A warm welcome to returning member Stephen Wright and visiting AG Robert Erskine. I’d like to extend many thanks to David Krust for being our speaker on Monday. With years of experience behind him, you would be justified in believing that the school children in our community are in safe hands at Carlingford High School. David is knowledgeable, articulate and inspires confidence. Peter’s questions, from one principal to another were focused and pertinent. I liked the way David bounced back a difficult question about the evolving role of parents back to Peter.
