24.01.2022 SENSING THE INNER MELODY Dear Friends, Also in this picture you can see in the face, in the eyes of the horse, how calm, how dedicated he is towards Klaus. The ...mare and the gelding that Klaus is working with in these days are incredibly connected to him. Everybody can see and sense every day, their eagerness in the co-operation with the man. To achieve this inner bonding and feeling is one of the main tasks in this Summer Academy. One of the exercises in these days was to learn, to listen to the inner melody and it worked. Klaus builds up these kinds of exercises from a very simple starting point and then he leads the participants deep into the world of connecting, feeling, sensing and trustingand the horses are mirroring this every day. Here is a reflection from Gennifer of the USA who attended the seminar Voyage to you authentic self. She wrote: Dear Klaus, This seminar was unlike anything I ever experienced before. Your clarity, wisdom, vision and willingness to help us see a new path back to our best selves was incredible. No matter what the task at hand, working with the horses or with 22 people at once, you take it on with intense thoughtfulness and 100% dedication. I felt that it is a huge undertaking for you to deal with all of our energies, and yet you do so willingly and with no judgement. I also felt completely protected and safe while on your farm. 23.01.2022 GOING WITH THE STREAM Dear friends, As already mentioned this is our first day of the Compact Schooling II and it was already nice to see how the participants f...rom the previous Compact Schoolings and seminars have been softly gliding in and going with the stream of the Summer Academy. As the quotation on our post today already indicates it is indeed extremely important for all teaching and practicing of Klaus that we are realizing what kind of being we have in front of us to make sure that everything is in accordance with their genuine nature. This is also including the principle that any kind of Body-Awareness exercises are forming an entirety which is incorporated in the genuine nature of mankind. Observing Klaus’ teaching, especially on the field of Body-Awareness, it is again and again surprising how careful and soft Klaus is connecting one exercise with the following one. 21.01.2022 CONNECTING THE VALUES OF THE PAST Dear friends, With this post picture we shortly would like to talk about and to introduce the second horse which was selected ...by Klaus as a school horse for the Akedah School. Klaus named him ‘Chief Blue Eye’ because of his character, his way of expression and also because of his blue eyes. Later we did find out that there was a real ‘Chief Blue Eye’ existing, as the last tribe leader of the Comanche Indians, who was known for his eagerness to connect the values of the past with the necessities of the so to speak ‘modern world’. So we think also this is an interesting correlation. Our Chief Blue Eye is a pinto gelding, four years old and around 1.56 m high. Klaus characterized him purely as very strong King and even though in the beginning, in the first days, he was expressing himself pretty scared and withdrawn, Klaus always pointed out to the participants that deliberately he did not want to wake him up know, but they should please wait for the next days. And exactly it happened like this that more and more with his new freedom groundedness and certainty his strength and King character is revealing more and more. Together with the Pinto mare Miss Dakota they are forming an extremely nice couple and already until now they have been cooperating in the most fantastic way during the Summer Academy. Klaus is convinced that both will become very nice and also very strong riding horses, even though Chief Blue Eye will need some more time to develop into his balance and to his given potential. As we already have been mentioning before it’s the first time that Klaus is working in this way with school horses because he would like even already in the near future to provide already experienced pupils the possibility to be with and to ride on horses which are reacting one to one without any gap, without any layer between the species. 19.01.2022 LIKE A SHEPHERD DOG Dear friends, Some ‘weekend words’ about our activities here in the Summer Academy:... The seminar ‘Voyage to Your Authentic Self’ just ended and it was, as Elisabeth Long, a 79 years old participant from Australia said ‘far beyond any kind of expectations’. We will give some more insights about the seminar in our next posts. Also during the seminars our new group of sheep has been arriving on the farm it is a very special breed from Germany which are on one side producing a lot of meat and on the other side they are losing their wool in spring time, so with them Klaus can follow his plan to have a very natural and semi-wild environment between different kind of animals and horses. Especially Chief Blue Eye was reacting strongly on these 40 new fellows in his ‘kingdom’ first he was very nervously observing them from the distance and then he started to chase them, so Klaus had to work with him for something like 20 min (that’s why he is wearing his halter on this picture Miss Dakota is wearing a fly protection because she is reacting sensitive towards flies in her eyes) and explain him that from now on this is a part of his life. Then in front of the eyes of the astonished participants Chief Blue Eye immediately started to act like a shepherd dog and it was so nice to see, how he suddenly did feel ‘responsible’ for his new friends. 18.01.2022 THE TINIEST DETAIL Dear friends, Still for those who are interested, some current information about the ongoing Summer Academy. In this Compact Schooling II one... outstanding theme is energy in general, energy in relation to Body-Awareness and Spiritual-Awareness and also energy together with and in front of horses. Klaus is repeating many subjects about lunging, leading and riding and also he has now started to ride one of the new horses of the farm. One of the astonishing insights of the participants once again is with how much care Klaus considers even the tiniest detail and in which way, also in relation to the riding, he is always going with the energy of the horse and allowing the horse to grow slowly into the new possibilities. It once again reveals very clearly that indeed also in this regard Klaus is never training or using any kind of dressage methods on the contrary he is allowing the horse to glide softly in its own tempo into a completely new vision of what it means to be turned into a safe riding horse in an authentic way. 16.01.2022 A NICE EXAMPLE By Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling Dear Friends,... Again some few words from me personally often I am starting my seminars with pointing out that it is impossible to split whatever kind of effects and results from the entire picture and from one’s own personality. I know that it’s pretty tempting to do so, but on the long term the fruits of a tree will always mirror the condition and the quality of the roots. On the long term authenticity never can be divided, separated or disconnected. In the last seminar we had a very nice example: Paul, a participant of Leadership and Manager, arrived with pretty restless and nervous attitudes. This was in the same way visible and obvious for me as for himself. With this energy he was walking on the different paths on the farm to the beach, also passing through a field of sheep. The reaction of the sheep was significant in the most scared manner they were jumping away from him. Only few days later he was walking the same path again, but now with an entirely different energy and feeling of connection and groundedness. Also this time he was walking through the pasture where the sheep were grazing, and this time he was telling us with a few tears in his eyes that the sheep were not only immediately gathering around him but they have been following him in the closest manner, and he was describing in the nicest and most colorful words how it was feeling to sense all these animals so closely, touching him, touching his legs during the entire path it is not possible to split the fruits from the roots, someone’s authentic activities from his thoughts, or someone’s radiated energies from his inner equilibrium. 14.01.2022 This has been the most revealing experience of authenticity, the most revealing days in my life ever. I touched my soul, face to face and I knew once more the original me. It has been a very special "coming home". Thank you everyone and especially thank you Klaus!

14.01.2022 Horse found in Glacier ------------------- The remains of a probable packhorse dating back nearly 1000 years have emerged from a melting glacier in Norway. The find has excited archaeologists with the Oppland Fylkeskommune the Oppland County Council. The remains emerged from a melting glacier between Lom and Skjåk at an altitude of about 2000 metres. Oppland County archaeologist Lars Pilo told Norwegian news site Nrk.no that it was a small horse, and may have died from a br...oken leg while crossing the rough terrain. Archaeologists also found horseshoes dating back 800-900 years and manure about 1000 years old, pointing to the use of the general area as a high-alpine route. The horse may have been used for transport and could well have been killed on the spot after breaking its leg, it suggests thet the horse was used to carry reindeer carcasses back off the mountains to the villages below. 11.01.2022 Klaus teaches and shows us how all is revealed in our movement when presenting ourselves and representing ourselves, even in such a simple thing as just standing or walking. Everything WITHIN us is constantly radiating out to the world and that is why it is so important to be conscious of our body with physical awareness and inner, spiritual awareness in the most authentic way, grounded in reality... regardless of whether one is with a horse or not. This brings such a high qu...ality of life, for anyone. Its not about talent, its about whether you want it or not, its about making that decision. Every single step you do goes to the horse and the horse reflects it immediately. For me it is felt as an utmost duty to have such a high level of respect and awareness for the horse and myself and could not do otherwise because of knowing all that which I have learnt during the One-Year-Education. 10.01.2022 FIRM AND CALM LIKE A ROCK Dear friends, Another very revealing point for the participants of this Summer Academy was how extremely thoroughly the preparation fo...r a horse is done until it the first time gets a saddle on its back. Miss Dakota, the 7 years old pinto mare once casted out from a riding school as too nervous, hectic and spooky, did become firm and calm like a rock. Extremely interesting for the participants to see was always how Klaus has been reacting if a horse only showed the slightest reaction for example by applying a blanket, a pad or a saddle. Immediately Klaus has been helping the horse to overcome all this. For him it is absolutely essential that the horse is 100% calm, happy and without any fear or nervousness. Then when he is mounting it the horse is, without any further training, standing calmly waiting for a clear signal from Klaus to make the first step. The same thoroughness is to observe in the preparation of the riders. For Klaus it is extremely important that the rider, while standing on the ground, is experiencing and understanding all the balancing situations which he might meet later on the horse. If this is correctly understood and worked out in the rider’s body before riding, then the horse will immediately understand the weight signals of the rider, and this means that the togetherness between rider and horse is again nothing more and nothing less than a soft communication. 10.01.2022 OBSERVING THE GROWING OF THE HORSES By Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling Dear friends,... Today I am writing myself a free Sunday for me after the first four weeks with Entrance Week and Compact Schooling. I have to say that I am very happy how these four weeks have been revealing and about all the possibilities which have been given to provide a wide range of my horse work, spiritual- and body-awareness. I had the chance to work in total during these four weeks with eight horses of different types and caliber and three of these horses will stay in our school as school horses. The concept is that advanced pupils who have at least been visiting the Compact Schooling may have the opportunity to get individual lessons directly by me on horses which are fully educated and have softly grown into my way of signal-weight-riding. Concerning the horse work which I had the chance to demonstrate in a profound way during these four weeks, one sentence mentioned from Heidi, a participant from Norway, might summarize some of the experiences: She said yesterday: ‘Klaus, I could experience that whatever kind of horse being with you never ever got the feeling of doing even the slightest thing wrong’. This might be one of the deep impressions of the participants witnessing every day the progressing of the horses: It is definitely possible to guide whatever kind of horse with whatever kinds of demands into their path towards a safe riding horse without even the slightest kind of pressure. The participants could witness that it is reality when I say that I am doing nothing else than observing the growing of these noble beings. Another aspect also might have been very interesting and complete to experience: the participants could follow the path from the horses’ arrival to the selection and to the procedure of how the horses were growing into being safe to handle and maintain; finally everybody could accompany the horses’ first roaming and discovery in the ‘horse experience park’ in our venue, where they could finally find themselves in a situation with huge pasture, different paths, soft hills, forests and immense view to the wideness of the fjord by which the property is located. Of course this process now will be continued during the coming two further months of the Summer Academy. On Monday we are starting with Compact Schooling II and one week later the 10 days seminar Voyage to Your Authentic Self will lead us to new and many different insights. Our new venue has been revealing itself as a fantastic school place. Our different guest rooms, bistro, small shop, theory hall and the splendid landscape around have been contributing to a very complete and satisfying experience. I would also like to use this opportunity to thank everybody who has been and still is helping every day to make all this possible, especially for example our splendid crew in the kitchen, which has been providing us all with fantastic organic food. Last but not least I also would like to mention at this spot that we have been provided with the most friendly and professional attitude by Tanja Haase with very good fence and farming material from the German provider Pferdeboss as you can see in the related picture of this post. 10.01.2022 L-O-O-K at what can be achieved on the ground in total harmony with the free will of the horse! Something entirely different to convention IS POSSIBLE! Such connection. Such communication. Such joy. The horse knows he is growing and gaining inner strength in himself in this engagement. He is so willing, so supple, and this free horse is so relaxed and soft. ... He understands it and enjoys his body. How quickly from the beginning he bonded with Klaus and chooses his own distance, coming and going. He knows how nice it is to carry his body like this--and he came to this himself in only a few days since his first lunge--it burst out of him today, it just appeared. This is not from any training or dressage. Nothing hinders his body. There is no force, no squeeze and no dressaging it into a horse--to have a result like this. He bends his head to the inside, is compact, short, completely relaxed, joyfully expressing himself--nothing has been forced. People do not believe that we just let them grow and it comes by itself from one day to the next. The innocence of it all is the most surprising, as Heidi said. Described by Klaus: "To be with the horse like this in the human's world like an untouched wild deer--the horse represents this, yet shares with the human". It is SO different to: "I want to piaffe", or "I want to barrel race", or "I want to dressage"... IT IS SO DIFFERENT TO A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G ELSE! That is the type of horse school I am in and I am so grateful to learn this from Klaus!

08.01.2022 ONLY POSITIVE THOUGHTS Dear friends, Also in this section of the KFH Summer Academy - Body Awareness - Klaus is building up the different exercises in a very th...orough way. Of course the different elements are very specifically designed and approved over many years, but the first aim is not to learn the techniques of the different exercises but mainly the way how they are done with tranquility, awareness, groundedness and grace. Klaus is attaching particular high importance to the point that the participants are more and more able to really sense their entire body and that they are distinguishing very clearly between a general relaxation and the specific use of certain muscles in accordance to a particular task. How this is applied in the work with horses became very obvious today when Klaus again was riding Miss Dakota, who you can see also in the foreground on the picture of this post. The extremely calm and relaxed horse was already reacting on very fine signals and Klaus has been explaining and pointing out explicitly that just small wrong movements or tensions from the rider would immediately have caused a general tension in the horse the opposite of that reality which the participants could witness. It is very enlightening and insightful for the participants to see how these horses do from the beginning live an extremely happy and calm life and how they are improving without ever getting the slightest idea of being trained or even worked. During all the weeks the participants could witness that there is never ever even the slightest tugging, pulling, pushing or anything else than only positive thoughts and entirely positive, friendly and soft behavior. 07.01.2022 IMPOSSIBLE TO DESCRIBE Dear friends, We are on this Facebook page still busy with publishing the pictures of the first encounter and of the first days, because ...we have so many of them and we don’t want to leave them out. But of course during the next weeks and months we will show you pictures of the progressing. These days are the last of the Compact Schooling the first four weeks of the three months of the Summer Academy and it is definitely fair to say that all of the participants are agreeing with the fact that the journey of the last weeks was so incredible complete, profound and convincing, that it is hardly possible for them to put even just parts of the content in words. For example we have found the following conversation on the KFH fan group between the host and one of the participants: Leo France: Being in KFH summer academy right now.... It's really something to live... you cannot grasp even 10% of what it is really all about... this is worth GOLD for me and all the participants here Diane Gilpin: Leo - if have any free moments to share some reflections we'd be very interested to know. And very grateful. Wishing you a wonderful time. Leo France: Diane I must say (please believe me) that all what is going on here, with spiritual awareness, body awareness and horse work, really is impossible to describe... I cannot emphasis enough that you will only get to understand this Master when you come here... I can really only say that all you see on his clips and what you read in his books are just the tip of the iceberg... and that KFH is worth every penny he asks for. 06.01.2022 VERRY SHINING ENERGY By Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling Dear friends,... Again it’s me myself writing some words about our activities here in the school and about some general points of understanding. In the beginning of our Compact Schooling II which started last Monday, one of the new participants said something remarkable and very nice it was this: ‘When I arrived, I could immediately recognize that in the eyes of practically all those participants who have been here already for the last four weeks, I could find a very shining, sparkling energy’ and this is indeed the case. First of all, here we are talking about life and we are taking everything concerning the horses as a proof, as an example and as a symbol for everything related to life itself. And this might be the most important insight and also the most important benefit of being participant in the program or parts of it, that not one single activity might be disconnected from life itself. The general principals about energy, Spiritual-Awareness and Body-Awareness, are thereby so thoroughly related to nearly completely forgotten principals, that the entire revealing picture might explain many levels of life in general nearly completely new, or at least very different from the common perception. It is always very important for me in all points that I am not just believed in what I say, but that on one side all these different aspects might be transmitted and approved by the horses, and on the other side I do everything to connect very simple facts in such a way together that the entire journey in itself makes sense. Last but not least in accordance to all this I would like to ask for particular understanding of all the participants experiencing this here in the school: of course if they are coming home or if they are coming back to their chat rooms and internet forums, a lot of questions are waiting for them. But at least the first general answer nearly always is, that it is impossible to explain what all happened, the only thing which might be said so far is: yes, it is working; yes, it is reality; yes, you can be with the horses in an entirely different, authentic and completely harmonious and undemanding way. But nevertheless I would encourage everybody to keep asking them and nevertheless I definitely also would encourage all the participants to try finding their comments, solutions and summaries to share in their social circles. 06.01.2022 This gelding, named Chief Blue Eye, joyfully shows his new found balance with the shoulder-in guided by Klaus' body language. It was a special and important moment in his education and we have seen every single step that Klaus has taken with the two school horses here. There is no training because the horse is already a horse. We just show him what is possible and it is his own free will to engage, which he happily enjoys because he knows he grows in strength and expression from it. This is real horsework :)

04.01.2022 JUST ONE WORD By Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling Dear friends,... It’s again me personally writing some words. Together with the picture of this post, which has been taken on the first or second day of the Summer Academy, a small story comes into my mind which also refers to the ongoing seminar ‘Voyage to your authentic Self’. Regarding this particular seminar I only can say that I am extremely happy that with this I have the possibility to lead the course participants even deeper into all kinds of realities and visions, related to horses and life itself. Back to the little story: In a coaching meeting some weeks ago I asked the client to try putting everything he is doing just in one word. At first he resisted a bit saying that this is impossible and to prove it he asked me what I would say being requested to put everything what I do in one word, believing strongly that also this would be plainly and simply impossible. I looked at him friendly and said: of course I can focus everything I am doing in one word I am plainly and simply dealing with the theme dignity. Also this picture of the at first fighting horse reminds me of this, because even in his initial attacks he could maintain his dignity all along until the moment when he realized that in all dignity we could meet much closer and much more happily. 01.01.2022 THE STRONG BOND WITH THE HORSE PERSON Dear Friends, Also in this ongoing part of the Summer Academy the Body Awareness seminar Klaus tries to give the parti...cipants as many options for experiences as possible. Klaus always says that whatever you are experiencing authentically with all your senses, emotions and feelings is a property which never can be taken away again, and this first week also has been full of these kinds of experiences. Apart of this Klaus has nearly every day been riding ‘Miss Dakota’, to demonstrate how important these kinds of body-awareness sensations and experiences are in accordance to the necessity as a rider to sense each movement of the horse and from the beginning to give the horse the feeling of being entirely protected and in the most careful way guided. As you can see in the picture of this post Klaus’ position on the horse is on one side very relaxed and on the other side very upright Klaus always says that riding is nothing more and nothing less than standing and walking. The prerequisite to start with this kind of riding is of course that the horse is already completely relaxed and in a strong bond with the horse person. If this is the case then the aids given by weight, soft movements and loose reign signals are extremely quick understood by the horse and converted into a calm gesture of riding. To be continued...
