25.01.2022 Today let’s do a deep dive on cognitive biases. We know everyone’s world view is slightly different to everyone else’s, but did you know how deceptive your own mind can be in changing or distorting your own world view without you really noticing? These are called cognitive biases, and although there are over 180 of them, the link below has a list explaining the most common ones. Do any of them ring true to you? Cognitive biases are not inherently bad, but it’s important to un...derstand which ones you or your loved ones might be prone to, and how they can change how people perceive reality, and lead to unhealthy thinking styles or actions. Our psychologists are fully trained and experienced in helping understand unhealthy thinking styles and cognitive biases, so if this is something you want to work on in your life, give us a call! https://www.facebook.com/GottmanInstitute/posts/10156778046530865

10.01.2022 This is a great article that simplifies down the process we would all love to master with our little ones, co-regulation. While it falls into that easier said than done category, remember that even though we may not get it right every single time, those moments where we are able to connect, label and validate our child’s emotional experience are priceless, and can make a huge difference overall. If you’d like to know more about co-regulation, or if there are other child or family issues you’d like help with, please contact us and we’d be happy to assist. We’ve got some of the lowest rates around, and have weekday, evening and weekend appointments available now!

01.01.2022 People-pleasing a habit that generally comes from the best of intentions, but can end up strongly impacting your mental health and wellbeing.
