19.01.2022 { ACPC Interschools Gymkhana } Peyton & Buddy competed in their least favourite event today - Gymkhana ! Cause what kid doesn’t like going fast on their pony......!? Mine apparently Anywho... the little duo had a great day wining their Best Presented, 4th in their rider class against a huge field of Grade 3&4’s and even managing to pull a 5th in the Running T! (Everyone must of went really slow in that one ) nah jokes. We had fun! Team KP also Sponsored this event (as seen from a previous post). It was so nice sitting on the side line hearing some very excited kids coming back to their parents in absolute shock too what they had just won. It was also very; very refreshing having some kids come up to me personally & thank me for sponsoring such beautiful prizes & also sending me messages via our SM Pages. Thanks kids - you all made my day! Congratulations . This is our last competition for 2019!! What a year.... what.a.year! 19.01.2022 Quarter Mark Tutorial I’ll be making more of these videos to show how I create different patterns! 1. I like to start by dampening the coat with warm water - ...you can also add a small bit of oil to the water. Don’t soak the coat! You can then spray some quarter marker spray to help set the pattern. 2. Think about what pattern you will be doing, stand back and take a moment to think about where you want your lines to go. 3. Pick your points, and firmly brush the comb/brush in a downwards direction. Take your time! 4. Remember, you can tidy up the lines using your brush. 5. For sharks teeth you are brush upwards at an angle, the downwards in the direction of the hair to make your points. I usually do three or four points. The first one should be roughly in line with the point of buttock, then work your way down. I tend to make my gradually smaller as I go. Then brush down between the sharks teeth and the tail to finish! 6. Always take your time when doing quarter marks, it gives you more control over the brushes/combs.
