22.01.2022 Young dogs training - such important information to listen to and consider implementing so as to avoid rushing a young dogs training. https://youtu.be/x_NREcvS_Uo

22.01.2022 Whether you came for one or all the Agility Seminars with Natalie Kirkwood; to each and every one of you THANK YOU The seminars with Natalie focused on the foundation work that is much needed to develop your dog’s brilliance, independence and confidence and your handler mechanics. I watched with joy and captured on film each dog and handler grow in every area as the weeks and months progressed. You saw the end product of each skill in the demonstrations by 2B, Torch and S...age and you soaked up the knowledge that Natalie willingly shared in such an easily understandable way which builds on the resources that are available in the specific groups for Contact Training and Weaves for you to refer back to as a guide to support your journey forward. Thank you Natalie, your knowledge, skill and generosity is immeasurable, you are a true ambassador for dog sports and a role model for all. You all made the best of your time out here, smiling and chatting sharing time together with a bunch of lovely friendly likeminded colleagues and your best mates - your lovely canine companions. Whilst the facilities were basic, the ‘loo with a view’ was an ‘adventure’ and each day that you came was spent camped in serenity under the big gum trees out in the ‘cow paddock’. Your dog’s on the other hand all thought that they were at the ‘bestest ever’ theme park with all the amazing rich and wonderful sights and aromas to inhale and roll in and the opportunity to cool off with a splash and swim in the dam after their cognitive functioning was on overload as they worked hard on trying to understand the desired behaviours and their progressive skill development. The vision of EquiCanine is to offer affordable seminars to support handlers learning and skill development on the way to becoming a team with their canine companions; I trust that this series of Agility Seminars with Natalie have contributed towards your learning and development on your never-ending agility journey. Thank you for supporting EquiCanine

17.01.2022 Queensland Herding Association conducted an ANKC Herding trial over the weekend and the dogs and I went along to help for the evening and I took some pictures of the working dogs in action. Whilst the photos are not the best due to not being set up to take photos of dogs at speed and under bright lights, I certainly had fun playing and learning with my new camera.

16.01.2022 Another FABULOUS day spent playing with our canine companions out here in the bush :) BIG thank you Natalie for your knowledge, patience and enthusiasm in sharing so much of the wisdom and skills that you have gathered over the decades you have been training, instructing and competing in agility.

16.01.2022 Due to injury a working spot is available in the Natalie Kirkwood Agility Training seminar on Sunday 06 September 2020. Contact EquiCanine if you would like to participate.

15.01.2022 The rain on Saturday didn’t dampen the enthusiasm and spirits of all the handlers and dogs that came to participate in the agility seminars with Natalie Kirkwood spread over two wonderful days which were filled with an abundance of learning opportunities and skill development. June through to end October has been AWESOME fun and HUGE progress has been achieved by those that came along for the ride. I am very much looking forward to seeing the handlers and dogs apply the infor...mation Natalie freely shared with everyone, as they develop great foundations to build their dog's sports careers upon. 2B, Torch & Sage were FABULOUS demo doggies demonstrating the results of consistent skill training, providing everyone with inspiration and a clear picture of the outcomes to strive towards. Thank you, Natalie you have been SUPER

14.01.2022 EquiCanine recently hosted Engagement & Precision with Glynis Hendricks where handlers were challenged to be clear, accurate and timely with their signals, motion and rewards to which the dogs readily responded. Participants and auditors enjoyed the one on one format of each dog and handler working individually with Glynis as she shared her skills and knowledge with the group so that all could learn from each other’s challenges and achievements. Thank you Glynis for making... the long road trip down with your dogs and two beautiful young pups; and thank you Lyn for coming along, your assistance and support throughout the weekend seminar was much appreciated. It was terrific to see you both again and we do hope you will return soon. Thank you PADS for allowing EquiCanine to hire your beautiful grounds which were the perfect setting for the weekend. 11.01.2022 Due to the Qld border closing there are a couple of working spots available in the Natalie Kirkwood Agility Training seminars throughout September & October 2020.

10.01.2022 On Sunday we had a lovely relaxed day with our canine companions and friends learning more foundation skills for our Contact Training with Natalie Kirkwood. It has been super awesome to watch the dogs and handlers confidence and skills grow over the past four months of working with Natalie with some dogs starting out in June doing crate games or remaining on long leads to now working confidently and off lead amongst other dogs to master the skills and tasks demonstrated and explained by Natalie to them at each seminar they have attended.

08.01.2022 Weave Training 17 October 2020 1 working spot available - FILLED Lots of auditing spots available

06.01.2022 A conservation good news story to finish your week!! Barkly and Mackinnon have graduated from the Guardian Dog Training Program at Werribee Open Range Zoo a...nd are ready to fight wildlife extinction! The recent graduates will be protecting livestock in the field by keeping foxes and other predators away. In doing so, this will also protect Eastern Barred Bandicoots that will be released on these sites. This is a pretty big deal considering Eastern Barred Bandicoots are classified as extinct in the wild on mainland Australia. This trial could change the course of conservation not just for Eastern Barred Bandicoots, but for other species struggling in the wild, and we’re so excited to see how Barkly and Mackinnon go!

04.01.2022 EquiCanine hosted Contact Training Group 2-1 with Natalie Kirkwood on 09 09 2020 Every dog and their human had a FABULOUS time learning and developing skills and expanding knowledge as Natalie taught World Class Foundation skills.

02.01.2022 We gathered for Weave Training with Natalie last Saturday morning where all the dogs had a lot of fun gaining skills and confidence and their handlers learnt World Class Foundations to build their dogs weave pole futures upon.
