17.01.2022 Gather amongst the wild-flowers in the iconic Pilliga forest and connect with the movement to protect forest, farms and water from coal seam gas. We are close. Help build vital energy for a gasfield free Pilliga forest and a #NSWGasBan! The finale of the weekend will be a mass, symbolic action to send our message of opposition out near and far.... It will be beautiful, inspiring and lots of fun! Activities will include: - Bushwalks and guided ecology tours - Tours to Sculptures in the Scrub" at Dandry Gorge and the Aboriginal site, Sandstone Caves - Astronomy talks under the Pilliga’s world-class dark skies - Presentations and discussions on the Pilliga campaign, past, present and future - Workshops such as: non-violent direct action, ... with more to be announced! We’ll also show you the ugly Santos' gas wells, and the dead zones caused by CSG wastewater spills. Camping will be $9/person/night (paid via the event organisers on site). 14.01.2022 Please support the Mangrove Mountain community in their tireless campaign to protect our drinking water catchment. This is one of those issues that highlights t...he current utter disrespect for water, land and community. It also highlights the greed and corruption that infiltrates right through our government departments and local councils, and is the worst example of profits before people. There is much for our region to gain by stopping the Mangrove Mountain Landfill and exposing the truth. Money is needed now to pay a reputable company to do water quality testing below the tip. I have no doubt they will find the evidence needed to shut down this environmental and social dissaster for good. Reduce Reuse Recycle Water is Life !
