25.01.2022 Oh dear, we’re back in lockdown. We don’t want you missing out on kinesiology though... so kinesiology balances are still available online. This protects the health & safety of all of us. Curious about how an online kinesiology balance works? Visit our website for info (eqk.com.au).

25.01.2022 Love Languages. Theyre how we show and acknowledge love. You may like all aspects of the taco references below but one or two of them will probably jump out at you and really float your boat - theyre likely your main love languages. Its worth a think about what yours might be, and what your partners may be so you can learn to speak each others language. #lovethisstuff #kinesiology #lovelanguages

25.01.2022 Damn straight! ...and you cant beat a kinesiology balance to set you off on that path. #selfcare #lovethyself #kinesiology #getonit

23.01.2022 Spleen meridian is often related to sweetness in life. When we get bogged down in the hum-drum and day to day pressures we often forget to appreciate the sweetness (the good stuff) in the every day - and this can lead to blockages in the spleen meridian. I can certainly unblock it for you in clinic but if we just take time to really appreciate and enjoy little things through our day it helps keep our spleen meridian flowing. It doesnt have to be big things - sometimes the tiniest are the sweetest, like the ones on this list.

22.01.2022 Life goals = be one of these people #goals

22.01.2022 Im such a big fan of this! Im also a big fan of finding happiness in simple pleasures. Sweet dreams. #simplepleasures #spleenmeridian #sweetnessinlife #kinesiology

22.01.2022 I took some time recently. Some time out, time away and time for me. Its been so great, I highly recommend it! Recharged and back in clinic next week! #yesthatsme #hopethepostholidaybluesarentakiller

20.01.2022 So the dandelion is our logo for many reasons - theres sentimentality attached for me, I like the flower, and then its meaning fit so well with my vision for equilibrium kinesiology so it was an all round perfect fit.A beautiful friend (who was a big part of my journey to equilibrium kinesiology) sent me this cause it reminded her of me and I love that on so many levels! I hope they brighten your day as much as they did mine. #dandelions

19.01.2022 Theres an example of the balance and equilibrium of life right there. They say only when youve known sadness can you truly appreciate happiness. Take it as a little message of hope I guess, to know that after the rain something beautiful can flourish - and maybe the rain is what is needed to help it do just that. #flowersafterrain #equilibrium #balanceisntalwaysfunbutisneeded #flourish #thanksabby

19.01.2022 Self-talk is soooo powerful... and often its critical, mean and negative. Youre in control of that you know. You get to choose what you say to or think of yourself. So why be a bully and mean?? Be nice to yourself. Be real, Im not suggesting you fool yourself, but be positive and supportive - like youd be with your best friend if they were down on themselves. Give it a go and watch what a difference it makes. #selftalk #kinesiology #likeyourself #beyourownbestfriend

18.01.2022 Client today: Its like some kind of magic, what you do! The things you say I didnt even realise consciously myself but theyre spot on. Not magic, its kinesiology. Or more specifically, muscle monitoring and biofeedback. Thats the amazing difference about kinesiology - we use this awesome tool to tap into yourself/your subconscious mind/your energy to determine what you/your body/energy needs and let it guide us in what we need to do. Its as simple and easy as that - but when you listen to, heed and action what you need to, well the results sure do feel quite magical. @kinesiologymagic

18.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day weekend fellas!

18.01.2022 Its called Kintsugi and it treats breakage & repair as part of the history of the item, rather than something to disguise - it actually makes it more beautiful and valuable. I that! I also love it as a concept to apply to ourselves and others. Breakage in whatever form (be it mental, physical or emotional) is part of life - we often dont like it and see it as a flaw, something to be hidden or ashamed of. When in reality its part of us, part of our growth and makes us who we are - more beautiful, interesting and unique. So how about next time you feel or perceive yourself or someone as broken, try a bit of Kintsugi. #kinesiologyhelps #kintsugi #beautyinbreakage

17.01.2022 Latest FAQ: When are you coming back to in-person appointments in clinic?. I miss you guys too but unfortunately the answer is not yet. The Chief Public Health Officer has advised the Australian Kinesiology Association that Kinesiologists are unable to practice face to face in Qld just yet. Online appointments are able to continue in the meantime though, which is good news. Many clients have taken up this option and found them very beneficial. Theres something extra lovely about face to face though isnt there, so itll be back soon. #staytuned #staysafe #staybalanced

17.01.2022 We’re here, making a difference for men & boys. Shout out to all our fabulous male clients - Happy Men’s Day fellas!

15.01.2022 New little client partway through his first session: Will I need to come back to see you? Me: I think so. Would that be ok? Little client: Mmm...(concerned) I just hope it won’t be during swimming. I really don’t want to miss swimming Me: Ok, we can make it so you don’t have to miss swimming. Little client to his Mum after his session: I want to come back Mum... and it’s ok if I have to miss swimming to come. I want to come back. ... Must be doing something right. See more

15.01.2022 Im all about the spleen meridian and enjoying the sweetness in life - especially the little things cause they add up to a big thing i.e. positivity and joy in your day to day. So on a day in the city this is my happy place. #notcoffee #hotchocalltheway #treats #spleenmeridian #happinessisthesimplethings

15.01.2022 Wow, its been a bumper couple of weeks and so lovely seeing so many of you face to face again! Also so great that online appointments have been such a success and continuing as well. Just wanted to say a big thank you - I love what I do and you guys make it all possible. Big love

14.01.2022 Yes, face to face in person kinesiology balances are back! Online balances will also remain available for those that prefer or need them. For those returning to sessions in clinic, a COVID-19 Safe Plan is in place. Ill need you to sign a declaration confirming you have not recently returned from overseas or interstate, are not suffering from flu or COVID-19 symptoms, and consent to your name and contact details being recorded for contact tracing. If you feel unwell, please revert to an online session. Also, Im unfortunately unable to offer glasses of water during this time so please bring your own water bottle to stay hydrated. Ive loved our online sessions and look forward to them continuing but for those that prefer face to face Ill see you back in clinic soon!

13.01.2022 Reminder that a genuine check in are you ok? could be the lifeline someone needs - today or any day. #ruok #checkin #mentalhealth #kinesiology

12.01.2022 This is the week dedicated to raising awareness of natural medicine - how great it is, all the forms it takes, and how complementary it can be to other medicines and your life. Its also a week for celebrating all of us awesome natural medicine practitioners that play a role in your health and wellbeing. Go us! #kinesiology #naturalmedicine #awesomeness

12.01.2022 Heads up that Fathers Day is coming. Wondering what to get him? Reckon a kinesiology balance might be just the thing! #kinesiologyfordad #giftvoucher. #yourewelcome

12.01.2022 A quote to live by me thinks. Also a good little reminder for those ‘full moon affected’ or ‘cranky’ days. #benice #itsimportant #kinesiology

11.01.2022 This is the Slender Rice Flower. Its been coming up in pretty much every balance lately so I thought itd be beneficial to share. Its all about group harmony - and lets face it, lots has been going on in the world to throw that out of balance of late! This flower helps promote connectivity, tolerance and flexibility to work towards the common good. It brings about synergy, fosters harmony, cooperation and peace. Its literally come up in every balance recently so I reckon we could all do with a bit of its goodness. Soak it up peeps! #slenderriceflower #floweressences #kinesiology #harmony

11.01.2022 I dont do grief or sadness well. I dont like feeling it or showing it. I just want to fast forward through it. I dont want to give it air, I just want to hurry up and get to the bit where I feel better. But then these moments happen - those ones where it catches and is physically painful. They suck. Theyll happen naturally on anniversaries or special days (today is one of those for me) but when they happen more randomly I find its because I havent given it air when I sh...ould have, because I let it compound, pushed it down until it explodes and I have no choice but to feel it with a vengeance. So Ive learnt that if I allow myself to feel it when it comes, give it space, sit with it for a bit, embrace it even, then it can pass - and those moments when it catches and is physically painful become less. Grief and loss suck. Theres no way round it, just through it. For me, Im so grateful for kinesiology in helping smooth the path. #norainnoflowers #anniversariesoflosssuck #thankgoodnessforkinesiology See more

11.01.2022 Check out these cute little additions to clinic. See no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil and think no evil. (took me a little bit to consider what the last one was... I thought maybe just chilled out happy dude but a clever client suggested he was probably think no evil which is in theme so well go with that )

11.01.2022 It seems theres a day for everything these days doesnt it? Today is international yoga day. I used to have a love/hate relationship with yoga. The impatient (monkey mind) side of me found it too drawn out and boring... but my back and body loved it. So I persevered, and now its a love/love relationship. So many positives in yoga practice. So happy international yoga day. #namaste

10.01.2022 Ahh, good old communication. Sounds so easy but eeek sometimes not. If youre having difficulty speaking your truth perhaps your throat chakra could do with a balance. We can sort that right out. #kinesiology #throatchakra #communication #speakyourtruth

09.01.2022 From what I hear that last one could also be linked to home schooling. But guess what, kinesiology can provide relief for all these types of headaches - even increasing tolerance for the last two. #youarewelcome #kinesiology #headaches

09.01.2022 It’s World Autism Awareness Week, encouraging awareness and education of autism and also celebrating and acknowledging the individuals that have it. In my experience, both personally and in clinic, this quote is so true!! #autism #kinesiology #kudostothoseparents #alwaysstriving

08.01.2022 Im a big silver lining person. I like to think something positive can always be found in even the most rubbish situations and experiences. And it can - its just about perception and what you choose to see and focus on. The thorns and weeds will always be there (and its important to see and acknowledge them too) but isnt it nicer to focus on the roses and wildflowers? Your choice. #perception #glasshalffull #gratitude #joy

07.01.2022 A spontaneous early morning paddle before a busy day. #worthit #selfcare #itsimportant #kinesiology #pollypaddleboard

05.01.2022 I see lots of families. Its really beneficial - and so rewarding to see everyone reap the benefits (also lots of fun working with the littlest members like this cutie. ) Below is a post from one little family. It makes my heart sing. #familykinesiology

05.01.2022 Its Men's Health Week and were focused on uplifting the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of all men and boys. Ive already prematurely lost a super important man in my life because he didnt make his health the priority it should have been. Im sure not keen to lose another, or have anyone else endure that pain unnecessarily. Make your health a priority fellas. #kinesiology #menshealth #wewantyouguysaroundlonger #happyandhealthy

05.01.2022 This is my growing little collection of crystals. I love them and use them a lot in clinic, especially with kids - they love them too and really seem to resonate with them. One little fella has even given me the nickname Heidi Gemstones. How cute is that?! I wear it with pride. #crystals #kinesiology #heidigemstones

03.01.2022 How great are Facebook memories! This little gem has just popped up and given me a trip down memory lane. Said step-daughter is now about to turn 20 and turned out an absolute gem. Reckon I might have turned out ok too. Still, these little pieces of advice would likely have been helpful back then - oddly enough some still helpful and relevant today.

03.01.2022 Find your way back. #welcome #kinesiology #selflove

03.01.2022 When life gives you .... get your lemonade on! #happylemontree #perspective

03.01.2022 The fruits of yesterday’s hard labour - turf!! Those of you who’ve come in to clinic over recent weeks have lived the saga of my grass and the mission to seed it - the nothing-but-soil stage, the excitement-of-little-sprouts-stage and lately the wtf-why-are-you-dying stage. A change of tact (and letting go of some stubbornness) and ta-da the yard is gorgeous again. #itsoktochangeyourmind #yayforturf #fruitsoflabour

01.01.2022 A lovely present from one of my littlest clients. Believe in the magic

01.01.2022 During your kinesiology balance youll hear me talk about meridians - here they are! Think of them like veins but instead of transporting blood they transport energy (the good juju) around your body. Sometimes they get blocked which can cause issues (like pain, anxiety, sleep issues, emotional or mental disquiet etc). My job is to clear the blockages so your energy can flow freely. I do this in a variety of ways - I may use acupressure points (no needles ) , flower essences, crystals or there may be an emotion to clear. Its a very cool and fascinating process. Once we get your meridians in sync and flowing freely youll feel fabulous! #kinesiology #meridians #energy #goodjuju

01.01.2022 A little maintenance for the clinic over the weekend. Amazing what a coat of decking oil can do! It’s a bit like what a kinesiology balance does for us actually - makes you feel all shiny & new and gives a bit of hardiness and tolerance to handle conditions. #kinesiology #tenderlovingcare #tuneup #maintenance #gorgeousclinicspace

01.01.2022 So Qld students are heading back to school next week! A little kinesiology tune up might be just the thing to get them back in the right headspace. (and perhaps one for Mum/Dad next week to recover from home schooling? ). #backtoschool #kinesiology #headspace #recovery
