I wanted to touch base and assure you that we have strict guidelines in place to protect the health and welling of our patient base. . We also need to be mindful and avoid panic and fear. 10.01.2022 . Achilles Tendinopathies . We know that heavy-slow repetitions likely allow the tendon to adapt and build tolerance to load. .... I like to still however isometrically load the calf up to around 80% of their 1-RM max. For eg. Hold for 20 seconds x 4 reps x3 sets = 240 seconds total. . This gives it an opportunity for the tissues to adapt, whilst making it easier to get the patient to buy in to the value of loading up a tendon. . See more

Unfortunately our patients who we see for general maintenance and preventative care we will have to reschedule your current appointments for the remainder of the 6 weeklock down period. . Please note -we are STILL HERE FOR YOU. We are more than ...happy to provide any help, guidance and advice via the phone, or Telehealth. . 07.01.2022 Daylight saving ends Sunday 3am. . Although this year.. not too sure its going to make much difference! . We still cant work out what day of the week it is....or what month we are in! .

06.01.2022 Covid-19 update. . . Equilibrium Sports and spinal has continued to place our patients health and well-being at the top of our priority list. . We are operating as per normal. Being a LOW VOLUME CLINIC and spending more time with our patients we are considered a low risk.... . We have continued to practice good hygiene - and we ask our patient base to do the same. Please help yourself to the hand sanitizer at reception or use our medically graded hand soap in the treatment rooms. . As some have already seen we have stopped serving our iced tea and water, and no magazines in an attempt to reduce the spread. . We have also started to implement our online consults via Zoom. These online face to face consults allow us to continue your strength and rehabilitation from the comfort of your home. . These are tough and strange times, but this too shall pass! We look forward to continuing to help our patient base remain healthy, Move better, restore movement and improve strength.

06.01.2022 Are you suffering from Headaches! . Are you constantly complaining about neck stiffness? . Do you wake every morning thinking its time to buy a new pillow? . Are you guessing whats behind you when you reverse because you cant turn your head? . These are all VERY common problems! !... Most stem from neck Pain! . But rather than blame your pillow, or constantly pester your partner for a neck massage. DO something about it. . STOP scrolling through instagram / Facebook / Twitter with your chin almost touching your chest - And yes if you just checked to see how far your chin is from your chest LIFT IT UP. or better yet put the phone down and go for a walk.. Our neck has some great strong muscles! Start strengthening those! And not just stretching - if it was just tightness that was the problem - stretching would fix it! Ever thought those neck muscles may be weak ??? . There is so much that can be done to help reduce your neck pain and stiffness! You just need to ask for help! . Hands up, if your still reading this?
