25.01.2022 Hi all we hope this message finds you all safe and well. We are currently I discussions with government bodies about our reopening and what that looks like. We don't have a set date as yet but I will let you know ASAP. We are having to make extreme changes to the program to be able to reopen and we understand these changes won't be embraced by you all, we don't like them much ourselves but for the safety of every one and to be able to reopen we must abide by them. ... Things I can tell you are It will first open to the older kids who can be dropped off and picked up or parents asked to wait in the car. It will be 1 hour private riding lessons and your pony will be tacked up and ready for you on arrival Kids will be required to wear gloves, this doesn't mean rush out and buy expensive riding gloves you can use gardening gloves that are fitting. Where ever possible a child will need to bring their own helmet. These are the things we know for sure now. I will next week be contacting families already booked in for lessons and seeing who wants to return under these guidelines and who wants to wait. We do endeavour to work back to our full program and our holiday program however we also need to stick to rules. I would anticipate all going well that the program may be able to return in term 3, with similar rules in place that we had in term 1 when this started. Message brought to you by Beadie who thinks she should live inside the house.

Soooo I have spent the past week coming up with some online ideas to keep the kids happy. ...Keep an eye on the page from Tuesday and we hope you enjoy all activities. Stay safe and well. 07.01.2022 Hey everyone super sorry we have been quiet and not keeping up with posts, it's been a busy few days at the farm. Kids will be unhappy to know I have AGAIN rearranged the tackroom but they will be happy to know now things are lower so they don't have to stretch. We have a new Horse that has started his riding career with us his name is Manny and I am 95% sure he will join our comp team for when we are allowed to compete again and we have Cody who has just started his educat...ion with us since coming off the race track. He is just a baby so will all be slow and steady with him. Thank you to our awesome artists over the weekend they are all amazing if you haven't checked out the work yet head over to Fridays post and have a look, I am super impressed. Tommorow I have the body work lady coming out we might ask her if we can take a little video of her explaining what she does for you all, let's cross our fingers she says yes. Ok so I'd like some ideas from you kids what you would like to learn about while we are waiting to have lessons back. I have found a really fun word search with horse words in it that I am trying to upload as a pdf but haven't had the best luck so far, it may have to come in a link or screenshot form. Over to you guys let me know some topics you would like to cover or send me questions you have and we will endeavor to get to them all. Stay safe guys we miss you all. Brought to you by nugget who is really really missing all his belly rubs from you all.
05.01.2022 Corona virus and equine ed This includes holiday program Hi guys we have put alot of thought into this topic over the weekend and need to share the plan with you moving forward. ... It is business as usual to a degree here but some procedure will be put into place to keep us all including you guys healthy and virus free. If you wake up lesson day showing symptoms please don't come, we will in good faith waiver the rule at this point that you must still pay for on the day cancellations. In saying that if you are showing signs a week prior please let us know then that you aren't able to come so we can make arrangements. If you have been in contact with someone with the virus please follow health advise and self isolate. On arrival all kids will start the session with washing hands we have Antibactrial hand wash if your child requires a natural or particular hand wash please send with them. High fives will be put on hold for now and replaced with happy dancers so get your groove on this weekend and start practicing. Rather than putting brushes straight back we will put all used brushes in a bucket and they will all be wiped down before the next group. All tack will be wiped down before it goes away. If we all work together Then we can keep the program running and while other things are closed it gives the kids something to look forward too but it does require you all to care not only about us but each other and do the right things. Hand washing will be done in the laundry prior to heading over to the tack room. If you have any worries please feel free to speak to me. While this message is being sent to all current students and holiday program participants. Please confirm if you wish to keep your spot for next term if you haven't already done so. Chrissie xx
03.01.2022 Making the hard decisions. Hey guys today we have had to make the hard decision that we won't be able to reopen to metro students until January pending government restrictions allowing us to then. Our term ends on the 16th of December for this year and the amount of organising that goes into the programing and pairing kids up just won't be possible to do with the ring of steel not being taken down prior to November. We will do extra holiday programs and lessons to make sure... we get as many of our happy little faces back up on a pony as soon as we possibly can in January and more will be announced on those as it gets closer. Preference will be given to our kids currently booked in and metro kids that have been booked in but unable to attend before any spots are opened to the public. We miss you guys heaps and can't wait to have you all back. Chrissie and the team.
03.01.2022 Hi All, We hope this message finds you safe and well. We have had a fair few enquiries lately about what we do here at Equine Ed. The short answer is have alot of fun with horses but the long answer is a bit more detailed and helpful. We teach children about all aspects of the equestrian world. We have a program with small groups that is based around kids and adults getting an experience so if one day they own their own horse they will know nutritional needs, grooming, he...alth, riden, competing and safety, including in the paddock for the horses welfare. We try to squeeze as much into the program as possible. This runs Tuesday to Friday and is $50 per person attending bookings are taken for the term but you can pay as you go. (Same day cancellations are charged at full rate) We also offer straight riding lessons for individuals or groups. For a private riding lesson it costs $50 and for a group lesson of up to 4 people it costs $40 per person. It is 1.5 hour duration for our homeschooling families who book between school hours. The children learn how to put the gear on themself and then ride and pack up their ponies. We offer private and group riding lessons out side of school times for $50 private and $40 group pp this is for a 1hr duration. School holiday programs are 3 consecutive days for 4 hours each day at $150 per child and together we set goals on day one and set out to achieve them by day 3. This is a massive 3 days for the kids and they have alot of fun. Saturday mornings we have bay buddies from 9 til 11 for the children who aren't so keen on the riding but love the interacting with the horses. These kids learn to catch, groom, feed, maintain stables, rug horses and even clean poop (no folks that doesn't mean they will start to clean their bedrooms at home) This is $35 per child. From 11 am on a Saturday we have 1 hr private and group lessons. Closed Sunday and Monday Preparations are being made for a return to programs on July 14th pending covid 19 Info brought to you by some of our enrolled ratbags who we are missing ALOT during covid 19.
01.01.2022 Regional riders Hi guys at this stage all of our regional riders that had previously booked in or were on our waiting list should have been contacted and placed in a spot for lessons, if you haven't been contacted or given your time slot please send me a text message on 0419 986 799 at this stage we can not take any new bookings but we can place you on a waiting list. All going well with covid 19 holiday programs will run over the Xmas break. ... Our metro riders will be accomadate as soon as restrictions lift starting with all who have previously booked in or are on the waiting list. Should any rider pull out of their spot it will be offered to the first in line on the waiting list. If you are yet to respond to me re times or days for your lessons chances are they have changed so I would suggest you reply straight away to avoid disappointment. Chrissie and team
