25.01.2022 Hi All, I have a 19yo who is wanting to offer her services as a nanny/tutor to parents who are trying to juggle work and kids at home at the moment. Her best subject at school was English and she has just competed her cert IV in professional writing and editing. Has her own vehicle. Willing to travel up to half an hr from Ballarat. In process of getting working with children check. She is from a large family and understands how busy a household can get and happy to help alleviate the burden for families juggling a lot at this time. Call me on 0415991115 or inbox me if this interests you. Her hourly rate is $20/ hr
25.01.2022 JOHN MARSDEN’S TIPS FOR PARENTS 1. Give children space. Back off. Let them roam. Let them be bored. Don't over-plan their lives. Cut way back on the after-schoo...l activities programs. 2. Keep away from all those ghastly, soulless, sterile playgrounds. Keep away from shopping malls. Look for real places. Wild places. 3. Be an adult. Say no to your children at least once a day. If the role of Adult in your family is vacant, then one of your children will fill it. And it won't be pretty. 4. Don't take up all the space. If you are dominating, loud, forceful, your children are highly likely to become passive, lacking spirit and personality and/or sullen. 5. Believe about 40 per cent of the dramatic stories your children tell you of the injustices, corruption and satanic practices happening at school. 6. Teach them empathy. For example, after their jubilant victory celebrations when they win a sporting match, remind them that their jubilation was only possible because someone else the losers have been made to feel awful. 7. Help them develop language skills. Don't finish their sentences for them. Don't correct them when they mispronounce a word they'll work it out sooner or later. Ask them open-ended questions, that need a detailed answer, not Yes/No questions. 8. Make sure they have regular jobs/duties at home and that those jobs are done to a consistently high standard. 9. Don't whinge endlessly about the miseries of your adult life. A lot of children now are fearful about growing up because their parents paint such a grim picture of the awfulness ahead. 10. Teach them to be very wary of people who Absolutely Know the Absolute Truth about Absolutely Everything! The colour of truth is always grey. Extreme positions are for the ignorant. Every creature, every person and every situation is complex. The universe is a wonderful mystery.

This can be dropped off at Horseland Ballarat under STABLE bushfire project . If you want to contribute in a small way to the STABLE - Equine Therapy for Bushfire Survivors Project - please send in a donation of your horses mane (minimum 15cm length ) and a small note in an envelope to Horseland Ballarat and we will Create a key ring from the horse mane and include it and your note in a resource pack for bushfire victims. 09.01.2022 For Sale: My Kuda All Around Flex Saddle. The Kuda All round flex saddle is the ideal saddle for trail riding, Western Pleasure, Western Dressage, Working Equitation or for any riding discipline where horse and rider comfort is of paramount importance. the All Around Flex is extremely secure with its deep seat and wide swell (pommel) and horn.... The All Around Flex also provides an exceptionally close feel to the horse. Unlike most Western saddles, the All Around Flex has less bulk (layers of leather) beneath the riders thighs. This offers the rider a huge opportunity for subtle seat and leg aids with the horse and therefore a more direct communication between horse and rider. My Kuda is 15 seat and 7 gullet. They retail new for $3590. I’m selling mine for $2800. First to see will buy, its a beautiful saddle.

07.01.2022 Ok so this whole video has a point to it rather than me just riding around on a horse.... thanks to my backward IT skills this is third time I have tried to add... the story to this post.... This video is significant to me as I bought this mare 10 months ago as a broodmare and virtually unrideable - There has been a specific correlation to this mares journey and many clients I support who are impacted by trauma and PTSD. If a person breaks their arm or leg , we can see the fracture and put into place the appropriate support. A fractured nervous system however is hard to identify and often the secondary symptoms are anxiety, depression, panic attacks and emotional overwhelm. My beautiful warmblood mare 'Ushka' is a testament that nervous systems can be healed. Feeling, calm , regulated and balanced again is something that is achievable with awareness and support. Thanks 'Ushka' for offering hope to so many horses and humans. See more
05.01.2022 Isn’t life full of highs , lows and every emotion in between. This week so far has been a week fuller than most of Emotions and ups and downs. 2 days on the road 14 hours in total of travel with the ELEA horses (candy , Koda and gypsy rose) , horse assistant Kim Gooch , Gracie girl , muffin and bailey . Driving from Bairnsdale to Cobargo we were blown away by the destruction of the bushfires from last January . The enormity of the destruction was a lot bigger than what we re...alise. Upon arrival we settled the horses and launched into two sessions. Shortly after my beautiful husband Steven struggled to find the words to tell me my horse of 22 Years ‘sal’ (sally slew) aged 30 became cast today and was unable to Get up again and had to be put to sleep. Wow, the news floored me.... this mare I have had for over 2 decades . She has been my therapy horse for 10 Years and has healed so many hearts and souls. Tonight as I stand beside our campfire in Cobargo , ready to help and support the Cobargo community in the best way can . I’m thinking Of you dear sal , how amazing you were to me And the difference you made to so many lives. Rest In Peace my beautiful friend

01.01.2022 Working with some of the young people we support at ELEA counselling . The emotion of shame comes up a lot not only in young people but also as they move into Adulthood .As parents it’s so important for us to label our children’s behaviour as something we find not acceptable as opposed to labelling the person. Its So Important we are able to highlight to our children that we love them unconditionally no matter what they do. If they for example take something from their brot...hers or sisters without asking and then break that item, then it’s the behaviour we need to highlight as not the greatest not the person. This is the difference between healthy she And toxic shame. Secondary to This is the ability to move on and repair a rupture in the relationship And not Keep it going on for days and Weeks. There is much damage we can do to The young people in our lives and their self worth if we are not aware of these two things when guiding them in their lives. E.G Here is our beautiful horse summer raiding the flowers Today . Beautiful horse. Not So Happy with that behaviour of Destroying Our plants but a sweet and kind mare who we love to bits. Second photo is of bailey and muffin our two dogs completely present to the moment they are in and enjoying the sunshine. So peaceful and so Much we can learn from our animal Friends See more
