01.01.2022 This is a great article discussing the Ridden Horse Pain Ethograms (RHpE) developed by world renown veterinarian Dr Sue Dyson. RHpE are a series of behaviours that are scored to assist with investigations of musculoskeletal pain in horses. In July, Dr Dyson presented on this very topic as part of #vetfest. Her recorded lectures are still available at VetFest.ava.com.au https://thehorse.com//behavior-test-reveals-owners-miss-/

01.01.2022 From our friends at Victorian Equine Group VALE SUBZERO Sadly at 2.30 this afternoon, Subzero was euthanised at his Heathcote home, with Anita and Nicole Salisbury by his side.... Subzero has fought off many health issues in his long 32-year-old lifetime, but today developed acute decompensated heart failure. This led to the decision to put him to sleep in a gentle and dignified manner at his home. Subbie’s last check-up was performed four days ago, and included an ultrasound exam of his heart and lungs, which have been holding up well until today. Upon developing further clinical signs this morning, he was put to sleep before suffering any pain or distress. Subzero, Australia’s most iconic and most well- loved horse will be missed by all. We extend our sincere condolences to the Salisbury family. https://www.facebook.com/365937920433825/posts/1290845797943028/?extid=XExWXeie2HrfwbXg&d=n
