Your decisions will be pure reflections of your desires, your creativity, your awareness, and your power.... When you understand that you must live with and take responsibility for your decision, you will likely exercise great care when coming to conclusion. As you learn to make informed and knowledge choices, you will gain the freedom to consciously direct the flow of your life and your horses without interference... 21.01.2022 With so many people doing it hard at the moment... I would like to send a care package or 3... Why? Because I can... when you show kindness it lifts the spirit and opens the eyes to the good around them, which lifts the vibration and starts to bring in more happiness into their lives... would love to help kick start that happy roller coaster... ... If you know of someone that could do with a care package, they don’t have to be horsey... Or even yourself in need of a pick me up... private message with your person... Time to help make the world a better place..... See more

19.01.2022 Read a lovely comment from Alexa Linton - The Whole Horse Being with horses is a process especially when they are shut down, or have dealt with trauma, it’s baby steps and lots of little trust builders over many years, and most of it happens on the ground, just being with them in a good present way....... This is what I love about my work how I get to connect with horses on a deeper level, and help their owners connect and understand them a little more, helping to build a trustworthy partnership Most of all I am grateful to be able to help horses release pain, tension and worries to help them feel better with in them selves.. Over the last month I have been working with my awesome new massage gun... I feel the pictures are a great indicator of how the horses have enjoyed the treatments.... Percussions Therapy.. helps break down knots, ease scar tissue, increase blood flow, release stored lactic acid, stretch out the fascia, by providing rapid burst of pressure/vibration pulses deep into the tissues of the body, enhancing the flow of blood to different critical areas, helping to relieve pain and improving function and range of motion... So percussion therapy relaxes thickened connective tissue, helps break down adhesions and internal scar tissue, provides improved circulation in the veins and lymphatic system, helping to enhance flexibility through gentle stretching and increases range of motion.... I love my job....

And the beginning of my teaching journey...

18.01.2022 As numbers are low for the March course It will be postponed until late June, early July. Would be great if interested participants could nominate which would suit you, either or a later month... Reiki is an empowering healing energy for self and your horse..

17.01.2022 Why feed good forage pasture hay?? To help with Hindgut functionality... A healthy hindgut is almost completely dependent on feeding enough forage. Bulky forage is needed to keep the hindgut full to help prevent it from physically collapsing on itself or twisting up in a severe case of colic... Healthy bacteriol populations are also depend on having lots of fibre available for fermentation...... Generally as a rule feed a minimum of 1.5 kg per every 100kg in body weight in forage per day = 7.5 kg/forage/day for a 500kg horse. The more forage you can feed the better - best to use high fibre forage/plain grass/pasture hay and less high sugar, high protein, high grain types of hay... If you are concerned about a weight disadvantage with your performance horse due to large amounts of forage being carried in the gut, reduce the amount of forage being fed slightly in the days leading up to a event. If you have a cheeky one that tends to gorge themselves on the forage, give small amounts more frequently if possible or/and use slow feeder hay nets... When our horses are comfortable in the hindgut, they are generally comfortable and happier with in themselves... For more info on hindgut check out FeedXL they have lots of helpful info... When your equine partner is happy it makes for a happy ride and partnership.... See more

16.01.2022 Wow, thought this pic of Think was an easy one to remember before hitting the post button... II also like to think....with us all being divided on our opinions, best to remember the possibility that someone who has a completely different opinion than you on any given subject may not be wrong they may just have had a different experience....... Lead by example- Be Noble....when you lift someone’s spirits you also lift your own... love your life love your self...

15.01.2022 This goes for our horses too.. True for All living creatures

15.01.2022 I read a wonderful post the other day about being scared and losing confidence..... "Because Confidence is Fragile" The post went on to explain how it takes months, years to build confidence, but can be lost in seconds!! And how we always protect our physical body with helmets, boots, gloves, body protector........Continue reading

15.01.2022 Great way to start the day and everyday love Denzel’s energy

14.01.2022 Start your holiday season off with a fabulous start with a relaxing Message for your horse and a lovely relaxing Reiki treatment for yourself or Reiki for you both....

10.01.2022 Seen this today, before riding out for a quite stroll down the road... funny how the universe works... As my horse was pretty wired while saddling up, he had the spooks up, he is a sensitive boy .... Kept this in mind the whole ride, while also asking him to be aware of where his feet were, lots of off road walking in scrubs, keeping my breathing even, using a soft voice, while giving him time to think, definitely made for a safer, confidence building ride for both of us... also had a awesome support crew, Mick and the puppies walking with us, we both enjoyed their company..... you don’t always need another horse to ride out with there are plenty of other options available... Every slow steady ride continues to help build a brilliant partnership...

08.01.2022 The importance of well balanced hoofs is best never to be underestimated... the old saying no hoof no horse speaks volumes... If the hoofs are out of balance the body will be out of balance trying to compensate for the lack of support from the horses foundation....... They will struggle with maintaining straightness, being forward, holding a bend, two track work and, generally will put more strain on their shoulder sling of muscles, gluteals, hamstrings and tendons more so then should be required.... I am blesssd to have a super farrier that has been helping correct the balance of my guy for the last 8 months... I am happy to say he is definitely more comfortable in his feet and definitely more balanced in his work... The best part of this rebalancing is he no longer has constant heat in his gluteals and hamstrings!!! Now they only get a good work out during exercise and not all the time while trying to supply him in the paddock too...Winning!!!! Always work with your farrier, let them know how the horse is traveling during work sessions, as these amazing hard working people can help us with maintaining beautiful balance supper riding horses, or happy comfortable paddock companions....

03.01.2022 Albert Einstein said - No problem can be solved from the same consciousness that created it... We must learn to see the world anew When we react to our triggers rather than respond we are generally reacting from a place of anger or fear, which can have little chance of reaching a state of peace and trust...... When we find ways to step outside of our limited understanding in order to seek a bigger picture... We can choose to respond in a more productive way... One way to help us do this is to see the situation from another’s point of view, even if we are not sure of the true motivations of the other, Just by imagining what they might be opens us up to new possibilities and an expanded vision... Which can shift our feelings of anger/fear, to compassion helping us to see a happy positive solution for all involved.... opening our mind to greater possibilities and happiness..... When you watch talented riders you will notice a wonderful ability to focus, and control their emotions and mind... They have a excellent belief in their selves, while glowing with an air of friendly confidence... Which is absorbed by the horse, to help them preform at the best of their ability..... In this relaxed focused state of mind, they have the ability to read and connect with the horse clearly, offering help and guidance to them in all situations for the best possible out come.... My little guy McGraw has definitely helped me open up my consciousness to anew... I will be for ever grateful for the opportunities he gives me to continue to grow... It’s not only the physical body we need to keep healthy and flexible, but also the mind...... Next time you are with your horse, try being opened to a higher consciousness Anew... This can start with a simple smile that instantly raises your energy..... Believe in yourself... Love your life.....

03.01.2022 This weeks pole challenge for McGraw and I... having a white board for drawing your weekly training session helps to keep you motivated... one side has the training scale thanks to Christine Sievers of Lauriston Park.. check out her page very knowledgeable lady.... The other side has my weekly training exercise- this one is out of June 2020 chaff chart, by AML Equestrian check out their page lots of great exercises - this one is quite a rider thinking exercise helping to imp...rove balance, focus and timing of your aids.. For the horse it helps improve suppleness, balance and strength through the bend and change of rein, the exercise gives a strong work out to most of the horses major driving and supporting muscles, the trapezius and rhomboid muscles, top of the neck and over the withers, supraspinatus, infraspinatus, triceps and deltoids muscles of the shoulder region, longissimus dorsi, longissimus costarum of the back, gluteals, biceps femoris of the hind quarters, semitendinosus & semimembranosus of the hamstrings, and gastrocnemius of the hind leg.. these areas would benefit from a good rub either with your hand or a massage brush at the end of the session, always incorporate a good 10 - 15 minutes of walking as a warm up and same for a cool down before and after any training session this will help your horses muscle strength and stay healthy, which is the aim of our training.. . Love your life... love yourself... live in the moment.... See more

03.01.2022 I used to think the worst thing in life was to end up all alone, it’s not... The worst thing in life is to end up with people who make you feel all alone...Robin Williams Think we can all relate to this at some point in our lives... Us humans have a tendency to be very much in our heads all the time, stressing about the past, stressing about future events, worrying about things that haven’t even happened, thinking that everything and everyone is against us... generally... we get up and our mind has begun the day and left the house before we have.... We struggle to just be in the moment... Our internal energy is invisible to most bystanders, generally it can be sensed/felt by most, which can create a reaction of the same energy returned to you.... Animals are super amazing at being in the moment, and reflecting back to us what our internal thoughts are set at.... They also reflect back what they know to be the true us, When they greet you with love and happiness, they are showing you what your true essence is, take a moment to be in the moment and feel their love and happiness for just being with you... Let them help you be in the moment and find and feel the true you... Look into their gorgeous faces and smile, letting in their warm.... Once we let go of the fear of the past and worries of the future, we start to live in the moment with a calmer and clearer mind and we start to see possibilities to improve ourselves and our life... Horses are so amazing at reflecting back your internal energy well before you have reached them.... So if you find your loving animal showing you anxiety and worry signs, as your approach them, check your thoughts and internal energy and adjust them.... I believe Animals are here to help us be better humans!!! See more

03.01.2022 Have you been classed as a nervous rider? A nervous horse is generally called Sensitive.... They are sensitive in the body, to the energy and the environment around them... A sensitive rider is the same, add to that past memories and daily issues.... You then have sensitive over load....... When a sensitive rider learns to harness their sensitively and use it to their advantage they can become such amazing riders..... Why? Because a sensitive rider is more aware of their horses energy, body and were their thought/mind is at... More aware of their own body, mind and environment... When the rider learns to work with their sensitivity through breathing and focusing on where and what the body needs to do in the moment they then help encourage the horse to stay connected and travel freely...... When the rider acknowledges their freeze/curl reaction, through breathing and taking a moment, they can then help the body change its reaction to a more encouraging way of going... When this is harnessed the rider then helps the horse harness their sensitive flight/fight reaction helping encourage the horse’s energy to flow in a softer easier way of going.... This is when true connection and poetry in motion is seen.... If you are a sensitive rider be grateful and embrace your ability... you have the opportunity to be a superb rider and total connection with your horse... Believe in yourself.... believe in your horse....

01.01.2022 One happy customer
