21.01.2022 Are You Wasting Your Day? . I used to find myself wasting a lot of time in the day. Getting easily distracted with social media or in another project that simply wasnt worth my time. It made me feel frustrated at the end of the day when I got home and didnt feel like Id accomplished much at all for the day. . So, I created for myself a Daily Action Plan - so that each morning I could write out the most important tasks that I needed to finish for that day and hold myself... accountable to them. . Upon self-reflection, I realised that there is no benefit to putting on a business face before jumping into a meeting and trying to close a deal. Its inauthentic and your client can smell it from a mile away. Some would say surprisingly, but myself, I now say expectedly. Losing your composure during a sales negotiation is the quickest way to lose that sale. When it comes to sales, I live by 3 simple principles: 1 - Whoever is asking questions is in control. 2 - Whoever is doing all the talking is buying.... 3 - Whoever is embracing silence is influencing. . But, for this weeks Monday Motivation I want to focus on the first, control, and a great example of that is this. If you are in need of a doctor and you visit one for surgery, do you ever tell them how to perform it? Would you ever give them a list of prerequisites that they need to meet: cut here, numb there, this medication afterwards? Maybe its time to start positioning yourself in the role of the doctor, where you always control the situation and outcome. Just something to think about this week. See more

Well, one pattern that I seem to notice the most is that most people arent extremely efficient at prioritising. We focus on getting far too many things done at once and in turn seem to actually accomplish very little. . So, Id like to propose a really simple exercise. Take a notepad and... a pen and write down 1. What matters the most to you right now? and 2. What matters the least to you right now? . You may be surprised with what you come up with. Once answered you can align your tasks and time to best fit your answers. Maybe what you thought was worth spending time on actually isnt? . Id love to know some of your answers below!
