25.01.2022 Welcome to the new year and thank you for your patience while I juggled the school holidays. With school returning, my daily Monday-Friday pickup schedule is back to normal. My drop off points remain the same. When dropping off items for wash or repair, please make sure all items are secured either by placing in a bag or tying together with baling twine, and the job sheet filled in with name, contact phone number, number of items and any special intructions. My drop off poin...ts are as follows: Gleam O Dawn Rural Store Mon-Sun Dayboro Produce & Hardware Mon - Sun Horse & Co. Dayboro Wed - Sun Glamour Pets of Samford Mon - Fri Rug repair prices are dependant on what is required. I do my best to match material weight and colour but sometimes this is not possible due to imported fabrics/multicolour/patterns etc. All replacement fittings are Australian Equestrian standards and my preference of material is Australian-made equestrian fabrics. I am conscious of cost when repairing and will let you know if a rug is uneconomical to repair. Happy to provide a quote if an exact price is needed. Washing prices are as follows: Summer Rugs/Combos - Single wash $15.00 Winter rugs/weatherbeaters - Single wash plus extra rinse $20.00 Canvas Rugs - hand washed - $20.00 Saddle cloths - Half load - $10.00 All other items based around full or half load single wash and priced accordingly. To protect waterproofing on winter rugs, no detergents are used in the washing cycle. Summer rugs and other items are washed with eucalyptus-based laundry detergent. 21.01.2022 After sneaking away for our annual family holiday, Im back and have been hard at it catching up on lots of ripped and dirty rugs from some very, naughty ponies. But dont worry, Ive added their names to Santas naughty list, so I expect theyll be well behaved with their rugs over the next few weeks. Fill in a job sheet with your name and contact details and any specific requirements, or leave it to me and Ill repair whats needed. When your rugs are ready, youll be contacted by either myself or store staff. You pay the store when you pick up. Easy. ... Turn around time is usually within three days depending on the number of items and drying times (sorry, I cant stop the rain when it starts.) I usually pick up on a daily basis (Monday-Friday), so emergency repairs can be arranged. I know you need your rugs. 10.01.2022 Temporary Rug Washing Restriction Dear Customers, Due to the current extreme drought conditions and severe water shortages, I will be placing the following restrictions on my services: 1. No full wash cycle on all items. 2. Rinse only for repair purposes.... These restrictions will remain in place until weather conditions improve ie: Rain. We are currently on a waitlist for water delivery not expected until late January. We are using emergency water provided by MBRC for our water needs. 08.01.2022 Goodbye hot weather. How have your horses coped? The summer heat is always a challenge, especially when horses need to be rugged for the flys or for sunburn. Relief is on its way, but we could be in for a downpour. Becareful to avoid creating the perfect home for rainscald. Damp rugs and humidity are the worst culprits. Keep your rugs light and change regularly.

08.01.2022 Covid-19 update: Great news. Schools have been cleared to resume from the 25th May, so that means I can take off my homeschooling hat and return to my sewing machine. Thanks for being patient. My first pickup for rugs requiring washing and/or repairs will be on Friday morning 22nd May from either Gleam O Dawn Rural Store or Dayboro Produce & Hardware , with regular pickups thereafter. ... To ensure minimal handling, please make sure all items are secured in a sturdy bag prior to dropping off at the store and is clearly labelled with your details, including an in-store job sheet. Please also adhere to each stores hygiene practices to lessen the need for future shutdowns. I expect to be busy but will get rugs back ASAP. Thanks for staying vigilant.
