This year's awards focus on individuals and organisations who have been doing their b...it to support people with disability through this year's extraordinary events. From the bushfires at the beginning of the year through to the Coronavirus pandemic. And what an amazing, awesome group of people who have been doing some incredible work they are. 12.01.2022 We were the first travelling circus in Australia to host these shows and we are proud to continue to offer Autism/Sensory Friendly shows in 2021. Our first is o...n the 24th April at 11am in North Lakes! We are trialling a different format to previous Autism/Sensory friendly shows that we’ve held. This show will be a modified 1 hour only show, it will still have aerial and ground performers, animals, motorbikes in the Globe and Goldie the Clown but no intermission and a few less acts. Noises/sounds will be reduced and limited lighting effects. It will be General Admission seating so you can buy your tickets online now and when you arrive on the day and walk inside the Big Top you can choose where to sit in that seating area you have paid for. We are also offering discounted tickets for this modified show only at $15 everyone in all the elevated seats and $25 in the ringside seating. See more

At Equity Works we are most interested in matching people with disability to support staff who have interests in common and talents to share. We want to engage staff who are focused on supporting people with disability recognise their talents and achieve their goals. Multiple opportunities exist.... We are looking for staff who will be well matched to a number of men and women who are looking to build their independence skills at home and connections in their community; social and economic. Our Brookes Street team are keen to meet enthusiastic people with skills in supporting a diverse group of people; including people with high physical support needs. Availability to participate in sleepovers is a must for this team. The Brookes Street service provides overnight accommodation and supports for people within the Short Term Accommodation NDIS scope. Experience in a similar role can be an advantage, but the right values, attitude and a passion for creating inclusive communities are essential.
