About the Role We are seeking to employ individuals for various roles between business services and government consulting (including compliance, taxation, financial management and budgeting). The roles are full-time positions and Canberra based. About You We are looking for candidates who are looking to take the next step in their career with 2+ years of accounting experience in an Accounting firm within Australia with some or all of the following key skills: University qualification in an accounting related field Started or completed the CA or CPA program High standard of knowledge in financial accounting Working understanding of Australian Taxation Laws Excellent written and verbal skills Strong IT skills (especially MS Excel) Experience in different accounting applications (including Xero and MYOB) Strong sense of confidentiality Security clearance would be highly advantageous You must have the right to live and work in this location to apply for this job. Government consulting roles generally require Commonwealth clearances which are dependent on individuals being an Australian Citizen. What support will be available? About the Role Equity Partners are seeking a Receptionist to work at its Braddon Office to assist us to provide friendly and professional service to our clients and staff. The successful person will be hired on a full-time basis with employment commencing as soon as possible. As part of this role you will assist with various administrative tasks, which includes corporate registry services, accounts management, database management or other projects. Key Functions Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls Manage meeting rooms, meet and greet clients Manage reception area and meeting rooms Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries Handling of client correspondence Updating client database Preparation of ASIC forms as instructed by managers & lodgement Assistance and preparation of monthly invoices Oversee archiving and filing systems Key Selection Criteria Graduate studies in Finance and Administration Previous experience in a similar role within a professional services environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work under pressure Exceptional organisation skills and ability to manage routine tasks Knowledge of company registration processes and requirements preferred but not a necessity Good IT skills; including the ability to do mail mergers; as well as some database management skills.
